You will need a very good reason to not attend a jobcentre meeting and would also be expected to re-arrange non urgent gp, dentists appointments etc around the jobcentre meetings. The jcp meetings should be treated as if you was at work working for an employer.
In the case where I have to wait over a week for a URGENT GP appointment I think if I have one and a dentist where I had to wait 22 days I will say I am keeping the appt

i love how they dont give examples of what they consider a good reason.

yes so? If they say your apt is Friday at 10am and you say oh I am at the dentist so they say ok what about Monday @ 9am and you say sorry I am going shopping with my mate I think that's where they are going to stop your money

You cant keep saying no I cant make that date/time
yes perhaps but the way its written means they could say sorry we cant re arrange because the schedule is full. it really should say if you do not agree to a re arranged time your benefit could be stopped.

I can assure you that jobcentre staff and labour market decision makers DO have lists of what are 'good reasons' for non attendance at the jcp office.

Thats fine but just bear in mind you may be hit with a 4 week minimum sanction if the decision maker thinks that you could have done more to get to the jcp appointment.

yes like cancel and appointment that it took maybe 22 days to get? Then what? Be in pain and then cost the NHS more £££

They would offer a change of appointment surely

so after 2 years on the WP you have been out of work for near on 3 years so why now would anyone give careers advice now? Makes no sense at all but then are we surprised

Because JCP staff have to effectively 'start again' with WP completers and this means referring them to all suitable provision including national careers service for careers advice, if applicable.
