anyone see panorama last night about the way the work programmes treat the disabled. Also how they tell people who are clearly not fit for work that they are.

That guy with the anger issues was a bit frightening!

    But overall disgusting treatment really.

Interesting how much money they get, I didn't know they got money out of us just on initial referral.

Unfortunate you still be put to work picking up dog turds and litter what ever you wear, therefore wrecking your suit.
Then I will bill them for the cleaning! :)

Just to point out I own no trousers or jeans as I do not wear them and count non of the clothes I have as 'old clothes' to be worn doing manual work.

My question would be if still on the WP at the end of 2 years 'what have you done for me'? 'How many jobs have you put me forward for'

I have the answers here already they are 'nothing' and 'none'

I'm guessing they wont expect you to do 35 hours job search if you get sentenced to CAP, but you never know with those ...
you wont be signing so you wont be getting asked for evidence. so you can do as much or as little as you like while on the scheme. if you are put with someone decent who has an easy going attitude then you may find you like it. people will no doubt be entitled to a certain amount of sick days and holidays while on it. probably 10 sick and 10 holidays. it sounds just like the old new deal to me.

yeah I apply for shop work and admin too but I am saying they are meant to be EMPLOYMENT ADVISORS and they know nothing about accounts work. This new bloke is about 25 years old. I was at work when he was born!! LOL

they werent just saying if you find other types of job you could do then apply for them. i was told my log must always be varied no matter what. so if i cant find anything suitable i must apply for unsuitable jobs to keep it varied. your main work is accounts right. well if you were in my situation less than half of your jobs log would be allowed to be accounts jobs or related to accounts. the rest would have to be a wide variety of jobs or else.

people will no doubt be working 5 days a week on it and will probably be getting a training allowance instead of jsa. new deal was 30 hours and people didnt sign on while they were on that.
  • Mine suck, had to see a new advisor week and a half ago and had to explain everything to her about my previous work history etc.
