    Its the modern day slave trade - alive and kicking, brought to you by her maj's government :-)

    scroll down to near the bottom of that page for Community Action Prog info

    There will be more info on other sites, that just happened to be the first one I clicked on when I was looking for info :-)

    Well the WP have not doe for me what they have promised so when I leave the WP with no job I will log a complaint anyway.

    My new advisor has even said to me he knows nothing of accounts work or what I did for a living.

    The fees are structured as follows:
    • A 'start fee' (the government intends that this will eventually be phased out);
    • A 'job outcome payment' after a participant has been in a job for 6 months (3 months for the hardest to help);
    • A 'sustainment payment' every four weeks if the participant stays in work for up to a year (up to two years for more disadvantaged participants).
    So they have only the start up fee for me and will get nothing else at all!!!

    The Community Action Programme

    The Community Action Programme is currently a pilot programme, due to be rolled-out nationally in 2013. The pilot is a mandatory programme for people who have been unemployed over 2 years, requiring them to do 30 hours a week of unpaid community work for up to 6 months. The national programme will apply to people who are still unemployed after 2 years on the Work Programme.

    I may as well kill myself now!!

    Nooooooooo, that's what they want you to do.
    Then they can boast about how the unemployment figures have gone down.
    One more off the list.

    Just had a text from my WP bloke, and he's "kindly" cancelled yesterdays appt. and given me a new appt. date. No reason given, just a new date & time to suit him.
    How nice of them to cancel it 27 hours after it should have happened :mad:
    If it had been one of us doing that, they would have tried to threaten us and stuff. They are a disgrace. :mad::mad:
