I was told to phone up next week instead of this weeks appointment and look for jobs even though I don't need too, to "keep myself right" when I phoned advisor to tell him I signed off to go onto esa.
They really are vile.0 -

When I was unemployed for 2 months same thing - look for jobs, go on *their* interviews in places I was not even interested. Went for a one day *CV writing* course where I had a 2 hour journey in total (1 hour there 1 back). Turned out to be a waste of my time. Good intentions there but seems to be a question of not knowing what they're doing sadly.0 -
Well, I'm a bit annoyed. They are supposed to be ringing me at 8.45am this morning for a phone update, and it's 9.12am and not a peep :mad::mad:
It would be different if I had to show up and was late :mad:BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

It seems they're not even trying to hide how bad this is at the job centre now. I've been given some nonsense where I job search at A4E for one day a week. How it's going to be of help doing the same job search I do at home but in an office in town on computers half the speed of my own is beyond me.
I'm told though in the words of the advisor that this is the nice option rather than the nasty option (again the advisors words) of the work programme which they'll be sticking me on at start of March if I haven't found work.
The work programme sounds awful from what I've read but I couldn't believe the choice of words from the advisor about it and how they made out they were doing me a favour by sending me to that pointless job search thing at A4e.0 -
i'm still waiting for them to ring. I'm going out in a bit so it's tough booby-dos if they try and get in touch while I'm out.
Bet they ring tomorrow :mad:BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

I was told 'its coming to an end soon and we need to get you into work' My reply was 'what have you been doing all this time, is it all about the ££'?
They are worried when the 2 years are up they lose you back to the JC and they are out of pocket. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
They cant claim for anyone whilst you have no job.
Work programme providers receive an attachment fee for each person referred, they have already received hundreds of millions of pounds in attachment fees alone.
It is the outcome payments that are not recoverable if a WP client does not consent to information being shared with third-parties when/if that client secures employment.0
