well yes if you get an appt in person they make me sign the sheet and then you can not say you never knew
i was just saying they are all about threats and having that on the appointment sheet is a threat effectlvely.

think ill just sign off tomorrow anyway then , and if in the future i need to sign on again it will be either the jcentre or the wp when they force the issue when universal credits comes in, if i have not found anything in the mean time. but hopefully it wont come to that.

If you're still signing on I wouldn't worry too much about the Work Programme: From my own personal experience it's just like attended the jobcentre.
I've been on the WP for eight months now and what I've found is that if you come across as job-ready, i.e, smart, willing to work, have an up-to-date CV, and attend with proof of job applications, they tend to leave you to your own devices. When I was first referred to my provider I had to attend every two weeks, but now only have to attend every 5-6 weeks, and even then it's a 15 min job at most.
If you do decide to sign off though, you can make up your NI contributions at a later time when you've got the cash.

you may find the jobcentre backs up the providers bulls**t story. still it doesnt harm asking.

JC claimed they didn't know what form this even was *sigh*
Told me to ask my WP provider *sigh*

job ready or not they give people a harder time here. theres no chance of only having to go there once every 6 weeks. its a minimum of every 2 weeks here. they bulls**t and pass the buck by saying its because the jobcentre says it has to be that way. people with half a brain know better.

Hi thanks for that im happy going in every two weeks . thats not a problem, but the going there to do silly stuff i cant hack and spending loads of time each day on workshop ideas. anyway i spoke to the job centre and as far as they know its compulsory to attend the work programme even if only on ni credits from jsa,but ill wait and see when i go in for appointment at job centre in a few weeks ...me thinks they dont know the rules as stated by others in the dwp site.

what you need to say to the jobcentre is the provider is refusing to give you your travel expenses because you dont want to sign a seperate form that allows them to share your information with a third party.

The JC won't do anything without seeing a copy of the form I was made to sign as they claimed they didn't know what it was... They said any deal around travel expenses and signing of forms was up to the provider, just hopeless but then I expect nothing less of the JC.
