they cant sanction you for not being able to do a placement due to needing a crb check when you havent had one. they really should have checked with you first. dont refuse it just point out the problem. unless the placement is dodgy they wont take you without having had a crb check. your adviser must be clueless.
    edit.
i suggest finding your own voluntary work.

what care home or anywhere will let someone come in who is not even on their staff to wash people

If I had a relative who was being washed by an unchecked non paid memeber of the team I'd want to know why?

What about insurance for you and the people you will be washing? What if you injured them?

  • Thanks for the replies. I have been trying to get some voluntary work for a few months. I have a hearing problem in both ears which rules out lots of work for me. I really don't think I should be a carer at all. Not sure about reporting my advisor as I don't want to pee him off.
  • It's worrying the direction this Work Programme is going. Soon people not qualified or suitable will be filling important jobs everywhere. I will ask at Job Centre about it tomorrow.

You have a meeting at the job centre or at the work programme ?

Hi its at the job centre about the work programme, so should be ok ...mind you i still want to get the credits if there is a easy option that means doing searches and just visiting the work programme every two weeks in a simular manor to the job centre method of signing on.as no point loosing out on credits when im doing daily searches anyway.
