people will no doubt be working 5 days a week on it and will probably be getting a training allowance instead of jsa. new deal was 30 hours and people didnt sign on while on they were on that.
No this is not the new deal though

this is not training!!!! Its community work. They are not going to train you to do something!! LOL

You will still have to sign on and apply for jobs for 35 hours a week whilst working for 30!!!

Its geared to get people used to getting to work at a certian time. Like we have never had a job before and got up at 6.30am!! Fools they are!

if people are working all day monday to friday how are they going to sign on? anytime people are on a scheme where it is full time they dont sign on. 30 hours is seen as full time. i know its not proper training i am just explaining how they get around you signing on and it also allows them to not count you as unemployed anymore.
they wont cram the hours into 4 days a week to allow people to sign.

So if you are not signing on how do they know you are looking for work?

30 hours is not all day every day. 8 hours a day for four days is 32 so its less than 4 days.

If its 5 half days they will get you to sign in the pm or am whatever time you are not 'working'.

I would still like to know how the WP or this thing is meant to get people jobs!

This thing will not even work as when I first went to the WP they said they were overloaded with people that the JC had sent them and they could not cope. How will this scheme work if all the people get put on it in one go!

    So stupid and so funny

anyone see panorama last night about the way the work programmes treat the disabled. Also how they tell people who are clearly not fit for work that they are.

For those who missed it >> : http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01qgk9h/Panorama_The_Great_Disability_Scam/

That guy with the anger issues was a bit frightening!

    But overall disgusting treatment really.

Interesting how much money they get, I didn't know they got money out of us just on initial referral.

Just in case anyone inst aware, they also get paid per head of everyone in the uk who attends an English and maths course or any type of course, 1st aid, be a fork lift truck driver, security guard etc etc ££££££££ for them, hence their overwhelming keenness to promote that crap against looking for jobs that are obviously not there. I hope the strivers are happy with George morons ideas.

they dont know if you are looking for work just like on new deal they didnt. ask anyone who has had to do anything fulltime and they will tell you they didnt have to sign on while doing the full time scheme.
yes the hours could feasably fit into 4 days but they dont usually have days that long. the days are likely to be 6 hour days. of course i could be proved wrong. i believe in the rules if you are doing something they class as fulltime you technically cant still be signing on for jsa. if you are working 9am to 4pm 5 days a week how are you going to fit in signing on?
yes it is hard to see how it can work because of the limitation to community work. if it were like new deal they would be sending you to tescos etc. limiting it to community work will surely mean a limit of what they can give people to do.

If there is WORK to be done anywhere there should be the NMW to go with it!

If someone can not be paid a real salary for the job they do then its is slave labour.
