did you ask why the form signed or not meant travel fare paid or not?

Yes, she said it was to do with the funding, if I didn't sign the funding wouldn't cover it. I'll be peed off it it's untrue and I've been effectively forced into signing it.

What BS that person gave you. Its a shame that the vast majority of the workers at these places are real scum buckets, made worse and vindictive by the greedy powers above them. The only forms you'd have to sign would be a) the fire register (and you could put an X in that for all it matters), and b) the document for payment of expenses.

You do not, and should not, sign the waiver form. If you have then personaly I would remove consent immediately in writing to them before they abuse advantage of that right you've waivered

^ If that is true I will also put in a complaint for effectively being forced to sign it too, as well as withdrawing consent.

I was in a difficult situation as I had no way of checking. I was also the only person in the group of about 30 who even questioned signing the consent form..

    It is untrue

Ask them for that in writing and then write a letter to their head office to complain.

They get no funding from travel as far as I know, it comes out of their own money and they do not need a consent form for it.

they were saying they would welcome them paying for a taxi as an alternative to them cycling there. i dont claim fares either because i dont like the way they make you feel like a criminal by asking for proof. so i walk instead.

Wish I could walk it - not sure how long it would take, it's about 5-6 miles each way. Hmm possible though albeit I'd be giving up even more of the day to them..

whats worse is we have to build up a portfolio of crap for a pointless qualification.
It can't be as pointless as the one my provider offers. Had to fill in an online questionnaire to identify weaknesses and then based on the results had to work few a couple of power pooint presentations and answer a few questions. All to get a piece of paper which is absolutely worthless.

they need proof for their petty cash tin. No company can give any money out to anyone at all without a receipt. If someone goes to get a pint of milk you need a receipt. I can tell you, no receipt and the person who runs the petty cash is liable for the missing cash.
that would be believed if it wasnt for the fact i have had travel expenses without showing proof many times. they have to have something on record to account for the money of course but the travel claim form with your signature and the advisers signature does that. if they require proof its because they choose to require proof.
