Yep, much the same with the JC, stupid rules but sometimes best to shut up and let them go on... I will find it hard not to comment though - will see what they are like and play it by ear - am aware they could make things more difficult for me if I don't go along with their !!!!!!!! ideas.. (but I do hate wasting my time when I could be applying for jobs I am more suitable for!).0 -
Can I check, the universal jobmatch site thing is or is not mandatory? I thought we had to use it but didn't have to give them access to our searches, is that correct??
ps some providers do have their own website that works in a similar way and you should register with it if asked to.0 -
Also, as I don't want them to get a bonus if I get a job, can I just sign off if I find a job or how does it work?? I don't feel that anything they will do will help my search for work, they are only adding to any stress and I don't agree with how these schemes are run so don't want them to profit from me..0 -

IMO the WP is a waste of time. Started it in July - went to two seperate appointments to have the assesment then booked in a month later to go over the 'homework' set which was things that I was already doing. Went back for this appointment which had been cancelled with no prior notice so didn't see anyone that day. Was trasferered to another office where the old office said it was easier to get to. Waited 8 days for the new office to call me and then they transfered me back to the old office. Told me to wait for them to call me and I waited 12 weeks!! Had a call 2 weeks ago to attend in January and when I do it will be 1 week short of 5 mths since I have seen someone.
When they called me 2 weeks ago they have the bare faced cheek to acuse me of not attending but I told them I had been doing nothing more or nothing less than what I was told by one of their advisers on email so I asked what appointments have I missed. There was some rustling of papers then the reply 'erm none'!!
So far as I have not seen an adviser I have no idea what they think they can do for me or anyone else come to think of it and I know it will fail. They can not make a company interview you, they can not make them take you on either.
In the two meetings I have attended I have been there for a total of two hours!!
Oh yes an in the 2 meetings I have attend and the intoduction they made NO mention of working for free or work trials or anything else everyone else keeps going on about.
The Govenment would have done better to give Employers an incentive to take on unemployed people like a payment instead of throwing £££ at these 'providers'!
i think that's totally disgusting of them accusing you of missing your appointments, and would complain in writing to them and your mp.I wouldn't give a crap about their procedures as i have a list of them breaking their own policies and government mandates.0 -

Years back when i had a brief spell of unemployment i didnt have to forward the address of my new employer just signed off, have things changed ? as i definitely don't want these sharks getting a bloody penny for doing !!!!!! all.Their getting payments from lots of silly little courses as they don't know what to do with people.
One thing is certain, at a success rate of 3% the workprogramme is doomed:T i hope!0 -
well, my advisor is getting rather cheeky. He told me my next appt. will be a phone interview, at 8.45am, providing I was out of bed at that time
I asked why did I have to still attend even though I'm on ESA. It's rules apparently, and even if I do get a job, within the 2 year WP frame, I'll still have to attend....yeah right!!
And I wish they'd stop it with the warehousing suggestions. When a doctor tells you NO!! you listen to the doctor, not a pen pusher.
refuse to deal with them by phone. Its your right.Make them write to you as they cant refuse that request. They wont like it,mine didn't but dont give a stuff.Puts an end to all their waste of time phone calls.0 -
your totally right about the doc.
If its not warehousing then its do you want to be a doorman at 55 years old.0 -

also on the appointment slips it says you must be contactable at all times on the phone number provided. that effectively means if they dont have a mobile number for you that you must stay in all day everyday.0
