Yep, much the same with the JC, stupid rules but sometimes best to shut up and let them go on... I will find it hard not to comment though - will see what they are like and play it by ear - am aware they could make things more difficult for me if I don't go along with their !!!!!!!! ideas.. (but I do hate wasting my time when I could be applying for jobs I am more suitable for!).

if you give permission for access it is to the jobcentre not the work programme provider. if the provider tried to get access then you should report them. it is not mandatory but some people are taking liberties. if anyone says it is mandatory ask them to show something that proves it is mandatory. also if you really dont want to register but feel you have to then just upload the crappest cv possible minus any phone number.
ps some providers do have their own website that works in a similar way and you should register with it if asked to.

i believe if you just signed off not naming the employer and ignored the provider they wouldnt get their bonus. i could be wrong though.

yes, it is very much a case of useing your own judgement regarding what is best and how far to push things.

Oh yes an in the 2 meetings I have attend and the intoduction they made NO mention of working for free or work trials or anything else everyone else keeps going on about.

The Govenment would have done better to give Employers an incentive to take on unemployed people like a payment instead of throwing £££ at these 'providers'!

i think that's totally disgusting of them accusing you of missing your appointments, and would complain in writing to them and your mp.I wouldn't give a crap about their procedures as i have a list of them breaking their own policies and government mandates.

Years back when i had a brief spell of unemployment i didnt have to forward the address of my new employer just signed off,have things changed ? as i definitely don't want these sharks getting a bloody penny for doing !!!!!! all.Their getting payments from lots of silly little courses as they don't know what to do with people.

One thing is certain, at a success rate of 3% the workprogramme is doomed:T i hope!

I asked why did I have to still attend even though I'm on ESA. It's rules apparently, and even if I do get a job, within the 2 year WP frame, I'll still have to attend....yeah right!!

refuse to deal with them by phone.Its your right.Make them write to you as they cant refuse that request. They wont like it,mine didn't but dont give a stuff.Puts an end to all their waste of time phone calls.

i dont see how they can stop you from saying i want to end my claim and not give a reason. they cant exactly say sorry without a reason you must continue to claim.

with mine if you are not doing the fortnightly jobsearch session they phone you fortnightly instead. it has to be at a specific time on a specific day as well. you cant say i wont be home that day can you schedule it for another day. i know someone who was threatened with a sanction if they didnt buy a phone so that they could be called fortnightly.
also on the appointment slips it says you must be contactable at all times on the phone number provided. that effectively means if they dont have a mobile number for you that you must stay in all day everyday.
