Im just not sure if ive been referred yet or not, my first interview to do with the WP is Friday afternoon in the JCP and I suppose i'll receive an appointment sometime next week after that to see someone with whatever provider im in. If I have and am in this for the next 2 years its not worth putting myself under financial hardship with my sister and claim for another 2 weeks, you never know something else more suitable may come along sooner.

I think I may just be rambling for myself really :o
as you will technically still be a claimant for friday afternoon then you should turn up as they could still apply a sanction which would come into effect the next time you claimed.

some providers send letters to make appointments. mine makes future appointments face it face. my adviser is an idiot though coz she says this date at this time is that ok. if i say something like could you make it later or a different day she gets stroppy. i feel like saying why did you ask if it was ok then.
if he did ignore it and said they should have phoned him that wouldnt be seen as a good excuse. they would just think he is trying to be clever.

It's not an excuse IF the letter never arrived and they have no proof

He is going in sometime today so then I will know what he has had to do there.

the letter came from the head office not the office he goes to

yeah, but i wouldnt risk that as you could easily lose out and end up sanctioned. the dwp will always take their word over yours.

went to the work programme to do jobsearch today. the net was down on the computers that were available, it wasnt down on the rest of them oddly. i sat there for half an hour waiting and hoping for some action to be taken. i was getting annoyed with them. however finally someone acknowledged i existed and apologised, made a note on the system for my adviser and said i could go.

I do doubt that as there has to be proof

He went today and was told everyone got a letter from them and it's to do a job search each week but he only has to do a short one on the days of his appointments which are one a month so he is relieved its not once a week.

they didn't even want him to write the jobs down so he could have just sat there and surfed a few job sites.

Gosh I can't wait for the Work Programme! lol
