I had already said I would no longer sign
you started by talking about going bankrupt and then later mentioned signing off. so again if you just said i will sign off if they try to make me do those things then that would make sense. you didnt just say that. you went on about declaring yourself bankrupt and how doing that would mean you didnt need any income.

you said making yourself bankrupt would mean you no longer needed the money. does being bankrupt supply an alternative income. i am just wondering how bankruptcy can enable someone to not need jsa anymore. you then later said you wouldnt have to do those things coz you would sign off. well signing off isnt called making yourself bankrupt.
Oh dear god you do not read what I put ever, do you?

I said all I do with the jsa is pay bills which if I made myself bankrupt I'd not need to sign on. I have not bought one thing for myself, been out with friends, or anything since being on jsa so with no jsa it would make no difference. IF I was bankrupt then what bills would I have to pay?

    I give up.

so being bankrupt would mean you would never have to pay a bill again? doesnt it just write off current debts and not future debts?

What bills would I have to pay? Credit cards, loans etc will all be gone

What future debt are you on about?

water, rent, gas, electricity, food, etc. how will you pay for these things with no money coming in. if you think it is a good idea to avoid getting refered back to the work programme and you obviously dont like your current expereences with it, why dont you do it now?

I've been bankrupt and on benefits. I'm curious - how would you manage for food, clothes and toiletries?

I do not get housing benefit as I live with family

Why dont I do it now? Are you serious? It has NOTHING to do with the WP at all, where did I say that? I was a reaction as to what MAY happen to us all afterwards and I said I am not doing work in the community etc

I do wonder about some people - fighting a losing battle trying to get you to understand.

Food my mum buys like she does now - YEsterday we had scrambled egg on toast . I paid her £250 a month for about a year till my money from work ran out.

Clothes? not bought anything (and why would you be buying clothes on JSA - I am not going out for a night out or anything lol) in over 2 years!

Toiletries? I have bought a load as in loads when they were all on offers so have a fair bit to last some many months and only wash my hair once every other day to save shampoo and electric.

it was asked what happens after. i gave the 2 most likely options. your response was to both not just to working in the community. i apologise in advance if i've got that wrong.
look unless you have a partner or someone else to live off declaring yourself bankrupt to avoid community work isnt a good idea.
