i have that and reguarly update it. it's just that the majority of my applications are done without sending an email and therefore there is no real proof that i applied. could they ask to see what emails i have sent?0 -
Because you all said they can't be making any money etc. How do you think they are paying the staff at the WP £24k or so a year? Where do they get the £ from?donnajunkie wrote: »then why mention that they do other things if you werent making any point either way.0 -
yes you could if you have no other means of support. however it is only around £40 per week for over 25's and you will get refered back to the wp by the jc and if you told them to stuff it again you would get a further bigger sanction. during the period of a sanction you still have to sign on and meet the criteria of your jsa agreement.so I could just turn up to the WP , tell them to stuff it, get a sanction and then get a hardship payment? Wow sounds very easy.0 -
declaring yourself bankrupt wont get you out of being required to fulfill the jobcentres rules.I have no idea how mcuh it costs but like I say all my money goes on bills and if I didn't have them to pay I wouldn't need the money as I am not buying anything at all for myself or going anywhere so if I didn't need the £71 I wouldn't need to sign on.0 -
How will it not? No sign, no £, no WP.donnajunkie wrote: »declaring yourself bankrupt wont get you out of being required to fulfill the jobcentres rules.0 -
if you dont want them snooping anymore than you have to allow then just say all applications are done through the post. you will find they will accept a jobs log as proof even though we all know people could just make it up. an awkward t**t could ask to see copies of letters you send out but i have never heard of it happening. if they were to do that you would know beforehand because they would say something like from now on i want to see copies of letters you send out.burnage_red wrote: »i have that and reguarly update it. it's just that the majority of my applications are done without sending an email and therefore there is no real proof that i applied. could they ask to see what emails i have sent?0 -
Hubby has just received a reply from the DWP concerning his request to withdraw consent for his information to be gathered and shared with any third party such as employer or another training provider.
This has been refused because the DWP and by extension its contracted providers acting as data processors on behalf of DWP is prescribed by legislation in order to fulfil a statutory obligation to actively assist people to move from benefit dependency and into work.
so - the DWP and its contractors are exempt from this data protection.
However withdrawal of consent for information to be shared with any emplyer/potential employer and your work programme provider is a separate matter.
so the DWP can have the information ( haven't really got a problem with that) but hubby's WP provider does NOT need to have it
so anyone who doesn't want the WP provider to benefit when you get a job needs to withdraw consent from your WP provider ( in writing) to your advisor
hope this helps a few people0 -

that is all on the form you sign when you go to the WP that you can cancel at anytime and there are lot of us here who are going to do so.0 -
NO! I would sign off! That is not a sanction at all.donnajunkie wrote: »so you would effectively sanction yourself coz you would have no money coming in. you could not sign on and not do the work programme without declaring yourself bankrupt.0
