Oh my god.............yes I know that. I said that!

I said I would not do it so you said I'd be sanctioned and I said I would just declare myself bankrupt therefore not needing the £71 a week and therefore no need to sign as Id sign off and no more WP appointments

I just got back from a days trip to the Work Programme, she waffled on so long I missed the bus back to town so had to get a taxi. Luckily I don't have to go back until the end of July now YEEES! I had a missed call from a job, it was advertised as being in one town but the missed call was from their office another 15 miles down the road even further away which I can't get to by bus SO if it is an interview at the office miles away is there any point of me going if it is somewhere I can't get to or am I going to be sanctioned for missing it and being out of pocket to waste my time going to it?

when i signed on a few weeks ago i pointed out what a waste of money it was for them to ask for evidence and then for me to go along to the provider the following day to be asked for evidence again. whats the point in paying 2 people to do the same job?
my jc doesnt seem to follow any set pattern. some people get asked all the time and some only get asked every now and then.
as the providers are policing our jobsearch they could save money at the jobcentre by excusing us from signing while we are on the work programme. idiots will say but you need a legal declaration with your signature. in response to that i would say how come people didnt have to sign on while on new deal?
Haven't you been moved to an early morning quick sign-on at the Jobcentre, where you hand in Work Programme Fortnightly Attendance Record form, filled in with the required 6 job search steps, which you sign, no questions asked at the front desk ? They then give you another form for your next quick sign-on next time.

Some Jobcentres have offloaded those on the Work Programme so they don't take up time of JC+ advisors, as WP providers are now dealing with you.

The reason Jobcentres have to do the signing is DWP don't fully trust outside providers or they didn't think of it to put in legislation. With previous schemes(Employment Zone, FND) JSA payments were made by providers, but they made mistakes, so with WP that has been brought back inhouse & is paid by DWP. Similiarly DWP may want to keep signing to keep some basic checks separate from WP.

It's only for those doing a quick sign-on, they don't have to see Jobcentre advisors.

They hand in the form which they have filled in, sign it, pickup next form for next time. The minimum requirement for JSA is 3 job search steps each week, so it has space for 6 steps for the fortnightly signing.

The form is like one sheet of the JSA Looking for Work (ES4JP) job search booklet on one side, on other side there is space for person's details (Name/NI No), standard declaration & space for signing.

yeah so how do you get on that? I have to apply for 5 jobs a week for the WP and about 6-7 for the jc but do a lot lot more.

I'm going to ask about that when I'm there next time.

I fill about half my job log book each fortnight, so filling in just 6 steps would take seconds lol.

3 steps is the minimum legal requirement, which is what this form is designed to cover. Your own JSA Agreement could specify more steps & things you should be doing.

This is only if your Jobcentre is doing the quick sign on for those on Work Programme.

Obviously most people are expected by JC+ advisors to do lot more than 3 steps and do more anyway.

If you see an advisor to sign, I would fill in more than the minimum 3 steps per week. Half a book maybe over the top, but that's up to you, but at least you know the advisors cannot say you're not doing enough. I wouldn't put that question to JC+ advisors directly.

maybe alot of time would have been saved if you had just said if they tried to make you do those things you would sign off. all of your bankruptcy talk does not make sense.
