maybe alot of time would have been saved if you had just said if they tried to make you do those things you would sign off. all of your bankruptcy talk does not make sense.
It makes perfect sense if you just read what I had said. If I didn't need the money then I would not need to sign on.

I just got back from a days trip to the Work Programme, she waffled on so long I missed the bus back to town so had to get a taxi. Luckily I don't have to go back until the end of July now YEEES! I had a missed call from a job, it was advertised as being in one town but the missed call was from their office another 15 miles down the road even further away which I can't get to by bus SO if it is an interview at the office miles away is there any point of me going if it is somewhere I can't get to or am I going to be sanctioned for missing it and being out of pocket to waste my time going to it?
just go and explain to the employer your problem. if you dont turn up and either the jobcentre or the provider find out they could sanction you. you may want to point that out to the employer as well so that they wont drop you in it. try not to be all i cant get here etc with the employer as it may look like you are making excuses. what i mean is make sure they think/know you are disapointed that the issue may or does stop you from working there.

How will it not? No sign, no £, no WP.

yeah so how do you get on that? I have to apply for 5 jobs a week for the WP and about 6-7 for the jc but do a lot lot more.
It's whether your Jobcentre is doing the quick sign-on for those on Work Programme.

The form doesn't supercede JSA Agreement or that people shouldn't be doing more. It's just an admin form to hand in to cover legal requirement as people aren't seeing advisors who look at & discuss their job search

Haven't you been moved to an early morning quick sign-on at the Jobcentre, where you hand in Work Programme Fortnightly Attendance Record form, filled in with the required 6 job search steps, which you sign, no questions asked at the front desk ? They then give you another form for your next quick sign-on next time.

Some Jobcentres have offloaded those on the Work Programme so they don't take up time of JC+ advisors, as WP providers are now dealing with you.

The reason Jobcentres have to do the signing is DWP don't fully trust outside providers or they didn't think of it to put in legislation. With previous schemes(Employment Zone, FND) JSA payments were made by providers, but they made mistakes, so with WP that has been brought back inhouse & is paid by DWP. Similiarly DWP may want to keep signing to keep some basic checks separate from WP.
    .
they did originally move all people on the work programme to a signing time after 4pm were we were straight in and out. we have never had any kind of form to hand in like what you talk about. we can now have a signing time at any time of the day. they dont do a jobsearch anymore but they do ask people for evidence. this seems to vary from person to person. i have only been asked once while other people get asked everytime.
when i did new deal payment still came from dwp. i also did not have to sign on. we were classed as recieving a training allowance. the point i was trying to get at earlier is they could do the same with the work programme if they wanted to.

They may look but they do not discuss jobs

I'm going to ask about that when I'm there next time.

I fill about half my job log book each fortnight, so filling in just 6 steps would take seconds lol.
you have to do whatever it says on your jsa agreement. the minimum is 3 but if you agree to more then that is what you have to do.

You do not get the chance to discuss what you want to agree ,

all mine says is contact 2 employers per week, check the direct gov web site at least once a week, various job websites at least once a week, look in local papers weekly, keep a written record of my job search actions and arrive at the jobcentre 10 mins before my signing time to use their job points.

If thats all I did I'd never find a job.

you said making yourself bankrupt would mean you no longer needed the money. does being bankrupt supply an alternative income. i am just wondering how bankruptcy can enable someone to not need jsa anymore. you then later said you wouldnt have to do those things coz you would sign off. well signing off isnt called making yourself bankrupt.
