Well I am telling you that you are meant to have a ONE ON ONE at a set time with the advisor and NO ONE else should have the same time as you.
You should put in a complaint with the provider!!!!
the last time i was in at 9.45 am as ment to be there for 10am, i was seen an hour an a half later, as there was three or 4 before me, i had to leave after my appointment as i have a caring responsibility, but i will be changing to carers allowance soon0 -

You need to write a letter to the MD or Ops Director of your provider and email it over asking them to explain why appointments are double, tripple booked etc?0 -

I never said I refuse to attend at all. I will play the game along with them and am 10 steps ahead of my provider!
It wont do any good? Will it not? That's why I have a guaranteed time for my appointments and they are only one on ones. I have a letter from the Operations Director from my WP provider after I complained!
If you don't complain don't moan about it.
if you read my pp you will see i have complained about a provider in the past it dosent do any good you still have to attend.:footie:0 -
i dont know why they do it, i think its because they are over run with people, im sure the last time i was in to see an advisor, she had at least 6 or more folk to see that was including me, and they also said the last time i was in, you must be in at the work programme provider for 2 hours on your appointment days and a hour when its job search0

I am sorry but you are all sounding like push overs. If you appointment was at 10am how many people where they planning on seeing in 1 hour?

I am not sure they are double booked its because they run over and they dont know how long each appt will take, abit like the doctors. Sometimes you wait at the doctors.
They will just give you some crap reply back waste of time. Anyway i dont know why i keep getting drawn into this thread. I already stated i did mention to my provider about being busy and she said they are looking into group appts as they have so many people.:footie:0 -

I complained and I have a one on one at a fixed time (no waiting!!!) with no one else booked in at the same time.0 -

.... I have been referred to the Work Programme and have got my "Induction" at Ingeus next Thursday, dreading it. Sitting there with a bunch of chavs and being patronised for a few hours. Have been told to take a copy of my CV in, not sure what to expect though.0

Then it's not very effective, is it? The number of people who have been on the New Deal, Flexible new Deal and now the WP MORE THAN ONCE is considerable.
Yep, some do find jobs. However, many are short term so the jobseeker is soon back to square one.
The NAO (Nat Audit Office) says that only 26% of those referred to the programme will get work, not the 40% forecast. Not surprisingly, the Govt disagrees, despite the fact that many on the WP see it failing right in front of their very own eyes!
To use the WP to pressurise people into jobs is a crude sledgehammer approach which does nothing to address a real shortage of sustainable jobs in the economy.0
