what gets me is why cant we sign on at the work programe,instead of going another day to the jobcentre just to sign a bit of paper,
it would save jobcentre the hassle as well.

Exactly... someone isn't thinking then this 'WP' started I'll give it one more year.

In all honesty the jobcentre never or rarely ask for any proof, i think when your on the WP they lose all interest and want to move you out quickly.

I agree but WP providers aren't set up to do signing.

Well you have to sign once every 2 weeks so going to the WP to do it wont work, will it? My WP is once a month and this month was missed at 10 mins notice from leaving home (7.50am) as the guy was off!!

I had to sign on today, I went 10 mins before my signing time as usual to check their job points, I was called before I even got to look at the first screen, the person signing me gave my job log a cursory glance, shoved the paper towards me, I signed, he said take care and I left.

3 mins in all lol I got the same bus back home as the one I got on my way to the bus centre (circular route)

So in 2 days I've had to do a 20 min each way bus journey for a couple of mins appointments. Still its been 2 lovely sunny days, at least it got me out of the house :rotfl:

Everybody goes to the WP every two weeks? I think not.
