what gets me is why cant we sign on at the work programe, instead of going another day to the jobcentre just to sign a bit of paper,
it would save jobcentre the hassle as well.0 -

In all honesty the jobcentre never or rarely ask for any proof, i think when your on the WP they lose all interest and want to move you out quickly.
I agree but WP providers aren't set up to do signing.0 -
Well you have to sign once every 2 weeks so going to the WP to do it wont work, will it? My WP is once a month and this month was missed at 10 mins notice from leaving home (7.50am) as the guy was off!!simson3325 wrote: »what gets me is why cant we sign on at the work programe, instead of going another day to the jobcentre just to sign a bit of paper,

I had to sign on today, I went 10 mins before my signing time as usual to check their job points, I was called before I even got to look at the first screen, the person signing me gave my job log a cursory glance, shoved the paper towards me, I signed, he said take care and I left.In all honesty the jobcentre never or rarely ask for any proof, i think when your on the WP they lose all interest and want to move you out quickly.

3 mins in all lol I got the same bus back home as the one I got on my way to the bus centre (circular route)
So in 2 days I've had to do a 20 min each way bus journey for a couple of mins appointments. Still its been 2 lovely sunny days, at least it got me out of the house :rotfl:0 -
