it is when there is nothing the WP can do to get a job unless they are actually working with a company that has a job. They can't invent jobs not can they make someone at force interview you. It is a waste of time but I am playing along.

WP is false and lies that deceived the young unemployed in a false lure of getting an actual job... you wont see me working for £2 an hour because isn't that illegal ? anyway ?

Also im hearing several things that JC scum advisors... threaten to sanction you if you refuse to sign and go on the WP?

    now im sure that's b0llocks

  • Hiya.

I am another 'victim' of this so-called Work Programme. I have not been on it long but I can tell you now, it is a waste of my time and their time. There is absolutely nothing I can do to improve my chances of finding a job. I can tweak my CV till the cows come home, but my CV is not the problem. I can take their shoddy money saving advice, but honestly... when you're living off JSA, what money do you have left over to save anyway??

They make you feel like YOU are the problem. Okay, so maybe some people are struggling more than others and need that extra help... but believe it or not, some of us without jobs are fully competent enough to do it by ourselves. We're not all time-wasting benefit scroungers and with the lack of jobs available to go around, why do I still feel ashamed to say I am a Jobseeker? Maybe it's partly because they make you feel like you should be.
  • I had my first appointment with the work programme today (JHP Training) and I wasn't really impressed.

The advisors were friendly enough and straight to the point but to be honest I don't see how me attending once a week is going to increase the chanes of me getting a job. They use the EXACT same resources I have at home.

It is good to know that I wont be forced onto a work placement as with this provider it isn't mandatory.

I have to go back tomorrow for what I was told would be a 20-30 Minute appointment. I have no idea what's going to happen in that appointment but I was told to bring my CV along.

Still really struggling to see how they're going to help me.

so did they rate you work ready? Were you set homework?

You are attending yours once a week?

They haven't told me anything about that yet. Today was just a talk, induction and a skills test.

The person said they expect you to attend every 10 days but it's usually twice within that 10 day period.

I suppose I'll get told all of the details about everything else tomorrow.

    Cheers
