How do you know all this?

because i grew up in a household that was somewhat different put it that way, also both my parents are brown bread now and they come visit me sometimes which is nice and no its not too much whisky as i seldom drink, its usullay happens with a chain of events over a few days, i will smell my mum she had a very distintive smell about her and i can sense her.

oh and here is some food for thought for all of you lot, they say when you are dying after a long illness you see spirits of familiy members etc, well when my dad was dying after a battle with cancer he wasnt very conhearant and was very distressing watching, my mum cried out "how am i going to cope without
you" to this he answered in a very stern almost eerlily tone, "ha dont worry you wont be long after me.." that stuck with my mum and me as it was as if he knew, and sure enough just over a year later my mum dies suddenly, i know that he could see it, and my dad was a sceptic!!! it was my mum that was a believer!

... people are entitilted to there own opinions, ive always believed and always will but each to their own:)

Thank you for saying his. I think so, too, we should respect other's opinions. We always learn from others. We find we know very little even about ourselves.

Even living people want to visit places where they lived and where have most beautiful memories. :)

I had stayed in China and Hong Kong a couple of months with family. I was looking in the shops the beautifully crafted chinese furniture. I was impressed by the screens painted with most artistic skill. These screens are placed in front of the entrance and around tables. I heard they stop the bad spirits attacking people because it is believed the spirits go on a straight line only.

Considering that I've since been told that the reason my loved ones don't come back from the grave to comfort me is that I'm too negative, I'm perfectly happy to stand by my 'bo**ocks' comment
Now you see I didn't say that if you'd care to read it carefully. I said that your posts on here exude a vast amount of negativity towards the subject. Eveything is energy. If you put up a high powered energy field lower energy sources will have difficulty penetrating it. Only you can open the door its entirely up to you. I wasn't instructing you either, I invited you just to consider if you read it again - at least that was my intent. Quite different.
I believe that story to be bo**ocks and my belief is just as sincere and deeply as anybody else's belief in ghosts so according to many on this thread should be respected just as much!
I believe you are entitled to your opinion and if you feel my description is bollox then thats fine. It would be better had you kept it to yourself as what was offensive was the off hand and dismissive way you came out with your one liner. That came over as not having resulting from a deeply held and sincere belief. It came over as an "i'm just going to rubbish that for the sake of it 'cos its bollox" kind of statement. EDIT: and your implication was that I had made it up
The second story is very easily explained but that again is the difference between skeptics and believers in ghosts. The skeptic is happy with the far more probable, concrete, earthly explanation of a BT test. The believer refuses to even contemplate the possibility of a mundane coincidence being a likely cause of their 'experience.'
My second experience had nothing to do with BT line tests. If you recollect I found myself agreeing with you about BT line tests later in the thread.
If you hear hooves, do you think they're horses or zebras? (Or unicorns!) ;)
In Richmond Park I expect deer with Fenton hard on their heels (or should it be hooves?). :D

    Cheers

No, not offended at all. It's been a long discussion, I don't expect everyone to remember everything (I had to go back and check what it was I actually said :D).

Don't worry about thanking me. I'm very hit and miss when it comes to remembering to thank people.
Too late already done it. Your last line was, however, concerning hallucinations through lack of sleep. With me that occurs at around 03.30 in the morning if I've had to work right through. This was not a lack of sleep situation. I have no explanation for it. Its the one and only time I've ever hads such an experience. I actually have no concrete explanation for it neither do I have any concrete reason to dismiss it. Its this dichotomy which is disconcerting.

    Cheers

its one of them subjects that causes such debate, the sceptics try to get the belivers to believe its all down to science etc and the belivers try and convince the non believers that there is such a thing, both have very strong beliefs in what they believe. i dont think anyone is wrong or right its down to the individual, i do believe and always will untill there is hard proof otherwise, but for the non believers then that are entitiled to their opinions, it sometimes is a case until they have their own experience with a ghost/spirit that they change their opinions.

    Yep, its got everything now.

Have you met kettle mr pot?

I am yet to read a signgle one of your posts where you don't come off as a holier than thou know it all with no respect for anyone else's opinions but your own. Funny I'm not the only person who's built up that impression either. I keep hoping one day you will say something to change my opinion but it's unlikely.

Some times people see the truth in the end, or a few moments before it. Why does it last so long to see things?
