I send lots of thing by courier and because I could not get onto the Parcel2Go website and the RM website was down so I decided to use Collect+. BIG MISTAKE.
They have had the parcel for 13 days. They do not know where it is, nor will they look for it.
I have tracked it and it is has been sitting in their Nottingham depot since last Monday night.
I have called today to find out where it is. They cannot tell me as they are 'not permitted' to call the depot and ask this 'time of year'.
'Unfortunately' (as they kept on repeating) there is nothing I can do about, neither will they refund the contents as 'they do not do that'. I cannot get into their website to find out how I claim as it is all down - I reckon others have the same issue at the moment.
All of their managers are apparently in meetings. They will not let me know where the parcel is, chase the parcel, call the depot to query it or send me a form to claim for it being missing. I just have to 'wait'. I asked to speak to a manager and he went off, came back and said 'my colleague says it is not missing but in the depot'. As if I did not know that from the tracking information.
So I am giving Consumer Direct a call now and speaking to them and I'll take them to the small claims court for the cost of the contents after Xmas if I have to.
This has to be the most shocking service I have ever received from a courier. I'd be interested to see if anyone else has had the same problem.

I'm with you on this one blue monkey. I've used them twice and both times have had issues and they are now on my 'not with a bargepole' list.
My latest parcel stayed in the original shop for 5 days, and now on day 10 is sitting at Gatwick as it cannot be delivered as the address apparently does not exist. I have sent them the Royal mail website link showing the property (with the address exactly as shown on the parcel label) as well as a Google earth image (again with the same address as the parcel label) showing the property.
On my own thread I have asked whether there is any official body I can complain to about this company. I'm likely to have to refund in the next day or two so this makes it the most expensive mistake I have ever made in all my ebay history.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I am trying to get through to CD soo, their number: 08454 04 05 06 has an option 2 to complain about Postage Services - however cannot get through ATM.
I have found a link to get my money back, i have to email them and it says they will get back to me within 21 days. Seriously, !!!!!!. I am never using this company again, I can understand things get delayed this time of year but their 'nothing to do with us' attitude is nothing sort of disgraceful when it IS them that are contracted to deliver the parcel, so they should be chasing it up.
The more people that complain about this company, the better.
I feel horrible as my customer is sitting waiting, just how long am I supposed to let her wait as well.
if anyone has the number for HDNL in Nottingham it would be most appreciated, I am going to call them directly as well as apparently, they are the ones who deliver.
I am still astounded by their level of customer care and I have absolutely no idea why they even have a telephone line as they cannot be of any help when you call. They might as well have a recorded messgae saying 'Ha, suckers, thanks for your money, we have absolutely no idea where your parcel might be so there is no point you holding on, bye'.0 -
blue monkey, I could not get through on any of their advertised numbers over the weekend but finally got through this morning on the number 0845 270 9888
However I am now dealing directly with the logistics manager on paul.gilbert@collectplus.co.ukI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have never used them so can't comment. I agree that what has happened to both the OP and soolin is disgraceful. I would just like to warn the OP to be careful about what they say on an open forum as recently cases have bee brought for libel and you don't want to end up there.
By all means tell everyone what happened but you may want to consider changing the title of your thread as it contains a direct call to action for which you could be held accountableIt may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -
I do not give a stuff if they sue me for libel - they apparently record all of their phone calls and I have not lied in my post. People should not be using collect plus for the exact reasons I state.
Oh yes I remember something else, they also told me that I could not claim compensation for it being missing because there was no evidence of it being missing..... I;d have thought that thefact it has not been delivered would state the obvious but no, this is not a good enough reason.
Words fail me. I have emailed the bloke above, I'll take them to the small claims court if I need to and get my money back that way.
I can only assume they have temps in that call centre who are intent on destroying their business, I suppose as long as they get paid at the end of the day they do not get a stuff. I know he was not off looking for a manager but eating doughnuts while I was on hold, I am not that stupid. I'll say it again DO NOT USE COLLECT PLUS IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE TO SEND OR WANT TO ENSURE YOUR GOODS ARRIVE.
So sue me.0 -

Ok, that's your choice. I don't disagree with anything you have said about the service you have received. It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -
They are extremely slow but cheap, have a customer service number and easy to drop off parcels. I will use them again but not the most reliableThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have heard back about my latest parcel, they now have a map and the recipients telephone number and hope to be able to deliver it tomorrow.
Day 12 tomorrow, and I am just thankful that my buyer is being really wonderful about this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
