Well it works when you're actually thirty and not hungry. They say drink water, 20 minutes late you still hungry? Then eat something.
I'm now unemployed again for the time being. Working in TV can be annoying with short term contracts. But at least I'll have more time for the gym and to cook healthy meals and sort my life out! lol0 -
Hope something turns up workwise soon for you Sharon87, can't be easy.
Another crackerbread fan here - jam and butter on top becomes breakfast, dairylea and cucumber for lunch, instead of bread with soup. Very multipurpose. I've also got poppyseed thins, multigrain crackers, and tuc biscuits.
Lost another 1lb which I'm quite pleased with as I have sort of cheated this week. Even though I'm round about my calories I've been eating too many treat things, didn't help some bakewell tarts fell into the shopping basket last night. And I didn't drink enough water.0 -

Thanks. I received a call about my availability, so I've sent my updated CV. And fingers crossed! I was just about to head out to the gym lol and checked my phone. Why don't I always keep my phone with me when I'm not working, I am silly lol.
Oh well off the gym once my phone has a bit more charge in it so I can listen to music!
I've not long had 4 crackerbreads and 2 cheesespread triangle. Hmm that is 122 calories. Not bad!0 -

JUst had a kitkat - 233 cal... and you know what? Did not even enjoy it

Was walking back home thinking about.. crackerbread with mashed up mackerel in tomato and sliced gherkin on top LOL0 -
Finally dragged myself out shopping today - loads of veg, some fruit, tuna, mackerel, chicken, lean mince and some yoghurt & milk. This has to feed myself and DD, who doesn't need to lose any weight - in fact, she could do with putting some on, as she hasn't got a scrap of fat anywhere on her (5 foot tall and 6 stone 10).
Normally, I start losing focus at the end of the shop, which is where the wraps, reduced sandwiches and suchlike are - but I had a shake before leaving (because it doesn't matter what anyone says about fad diets, I DO NOT LIKE breakfasts) and just picked up a tiny pack of brazil nuts for when I got home, as I knew I'd be hungry by then and could have them with a banana.
Starting thinking about doing the Couch to 2.5K (or is it 5K? So many versions around) challenge, but doubling/trebling/quadrupling up the weeks so I don't do any damage to myself, but I'm not even putting one foot in front of another without getting some proper motion control shoes. I might brave the nearest running shop and see what they say (and if they're ***holes, then go somewhere else), as I know the proper shoes are sometimes a lot cheaper than the fashion styles, especially as I don't need the fancy superlight competing ones.
in the meantime, I took advantage of the last day of a 35% discount code MVCMT35 for Maxitone shakes via Quidco (I prefer them to the shop ones, as they are disgustingly sweet, IMO - and they only need water to make up), so that's breakfast and emergency snacks sorted for the next month or two.
Got some pasta cooling in the kitchen for tuna pasta salad when DD comes in (which shouldn't be long now) and she should cheer up now there is food in the house that she likes again.
I'm feeling pretty OK at the moment about this - and the last time I weighed myself, I was below a certain stone level that I haven't crossed for a good 5 years. So this is proving to me that it can work and there aren't anymore excuses for me with meds and the like; I can still lose weight on longterm strong steroids.
However, was reading a friend's FB status earlier. She's about 5'10" and varies between about 9 and 10 stone (having been about 12 stone a few years back). She varies between looking skinny and looking ill. Previous posts have included that she lost a stone in her first week of dieting and then another 10 lbs this week - and only 2 more stone to go before the end of February . This week she is complaining that she wants white bread, as she hasn't had that, rice, potatoes, any bread, pasta or anything 'bad'. And everyone is congratulating her!
I wonder if they'll be congratulating her when she keels over due to repeated crash dieting destroying her heart muscle and leaves her 10 year old an orphan?
Meh, some people can't be told.
I'm keeping all this business well quiet. Somebody might notice eventually.
[oh, and a gig I was booked for this weekend has apparently fallen through. Bah.]I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
