I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

In 10 days time, I will either be celebrating being able to drive or eating a whole tub of this:

I'll need to cater for it in my diet lol. If I do pass I will be celebrating with a drink anyway lol.

  • Well, my scale was showing me 73.5 today that is 3kg down since I started, 2kg down since I re-registered with MFP :)

    Who is YDSMon MFP?

Did not log on for a while, on my list of friends... but different nicks here and different there - in my old age I am getting confused....

    That would me :D

I have had an bl**dy terrible week at work and lived of takeaways and junk food, not been getting home till 9 or 10 everynight :( but had a [STRIKE]huge row[/STRIKE] discussion with my boss on Friday, so hopefully for the sake of my sanity (and therefore waistline) the pressure will be reduced.

I am so desperate to lose weight but also so very easily distracted from it and the slightest excuse just makes me head for the choccies and vino! But I also realised that if things dont change there is no way I would have the confidence to apply for new jobs the way I am now.
    The changes start here
I have just returned from the supermarket (walked there!) with bags and bags of healthy food to start again!

I wish I would take my own advice!
  • I had pizza and wine last night and it was lovely! Not changing MFP, but I may add a thousand or two quick add calories.

Today I'm cooking meals for the week so veggie spag bol, butternut squash salad and soup. Exercise is minimal today, but I need to clean the house and may do 30 day shred.

It's almost lunch time and I've done nothing so far...may have another coffee first and then get going..
  • Can I join? I know it's a little late in January but I've just started a couple of days ago and I've never been part of a weightloss thread before so hoping it's going to help. I have a lot to lose. I lost nearly 2 stone last year but piled on the pounds after a relationship break up and evil Christmas! I'm feeling really motivated to be slim by summer (well I'll never be skinny but just comfortable with myself).

I'm just doing a general low fat/low carb diet as apparently this works well for people with thyroid problems and seems to work very well for me. I've also bought a weeks worth of shakes which I never thought I'd do but I thought it might give me a little kick start so I will do a week of that once I've used up my current groceries!

I'm a real foodie so hate to scrimp on flavour. I'm going to make a home cooked ham today as it's super lean and delicious and also cheaper than shop bought ham. I made a lush prawn sweet and sour last night with a home made sauce. Easy, cheap, very low fat and super yummy! :j More than happy to share some of my diet favourite recipes if anyone's interested.

Ooooh and just on another note. I am single and do want to lose weight but I also want to try to remember that I'm not single because of my weight as it seems to make absolutely no difference whether I'm slimmer or larger with regards to chaps! In fact I think I think I get more guys when I'm at my more 'rubenesque'!!!! We've all gotta love ourselves before we can let someone else love us. Just a thought. :heartsmil

    Welcome aboard!

I had a depressing weigh in - exactly the same!! Bah. I'm off to gym to try and lose some of it.

Just calculated my BMI - 31.1!!! 6 more pounds to lose until I'm just 'overweight' bah.

I use this calculator to see what my BMI is. http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
