30 miles on the bike! Wow impressive. I do 3.5km as part of my gym session, and that kills me.

I've been too naughty these past few days. I dread the scales on Sunday lol.

I did do a lovely lamb casserole yesterday though - it had diced up lamb pork chops (75p reduced) a reduced swede (8p), carrots, 2 potatoes, sweetcorn, peas and gravy. Still have about 3 meals left and cost hardly anything! Go me! Lots of veg less meat, which is good.

I am pretty happy right now, my Xmas weight was 76.3 kg, now 74kg so.. wohoooo
  • That's great! You'll be a thin thing in no time!

I'm planning my meals for next week so i can do food shopping later.
  • Evening!

Due to DD having unintentionally lost a lot of weight - none of which she could spare (you can see her collarbone from shoulder to chest and her spine sticks out at the back) - plus concerns about low blood pressure/fainting and dehydration, the doctor suggested getting a set of scales that do all the tricks when we saw her today.

So just banged out £18 for the weightwatchers analysis scales (because the Salter ones were out of stock at Argos). They do weight, BMI, Fat, water and bone weight calculations.

The wretched things won't work in the bathroom and kept switching off as soon as I stood on them

When I eventually got them working - bearing in mind I haven't stepped on any scales since last summer at the GP's, so not able to tell if this is a recent development or an ongoing thing -

I appear to be a stone and a half lighter.

This is obviously quite a good thing. But I've just realised I've got a year of this ahead.

Ah well, when I settle by credit card and bank loan this spring, I'll just have to spend the money on gym membership. (I actually rather like the gym, but haven't been able to afford it for a few years - it's warm, you don't get rained on, you don't have to watch out for mad stalkers or sarcastic cyclists and swimming pools without screaming infants, steam rooms and saunas are lovely).

No excuse now. Proved it can go down as well as up.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Haha when I started 10miles killed me  But I decided to go for 20miles instead, which I got used to pretty quickly so went for 30 yesterday. Only problem is I didn't really feel like i'd pushed myself any further than the 20 and was still pretty much ok after so i'm wondering whether instead of doing 30miles for a week as planned and then building up to 40 whether I should go for 35miles a day. But then it takes me from 100 miles a week (only doing 5 days) to 175 a week which seems a massive jump:eek: Not sure what to do really. Got some fitness DVDs to start next week too.

You're probably going faster than me if 3.5km is killing you, along with all the other gym stuff it's probably quite difficult. I'm only averaging 35mph so not going flat out otherwise I reckon 1mile would kill me:rotfl:

Wellllll, bad day food wise today! Had chippy dinner (cod and small chips):( But(!) I got my first "Have you lost weight?!" comment today so something is obviously going in the right direction:rotfl: Haven't done my bike today so might give that a go in a bit.

Is anyone else finding themselves super thirsty? I've only been awake since 12 (I know, I know :o ), but i've already got through over 3L of water.
