I think athletes and sports people eat a high number of calories to counteract all the ones they burn off training otherwise you'd be ending up super skinny!
I was shocked at how many calories some things were too  But also how few some were:D
This morning I tried one of those milkshakes from the VLCD diet someone linked to a couple pages back but it wasn't for me. Too creamy for me, so i'll be sticking to food! Not sure what i'm going to do with the 20 sachets of it I have left though :rotfl:
My housemate is a semi-serious athlete and does a lot of exercise, they are stick thin but can pack food away when they want to. You would not believe it to look at them.
I used to use the myfitnesspal website and found it really useful to get an idea of how much everything was worth. Don't use it so much these days as I was too lazy to input home cooking and work out how many portions etc. I know where the 'hidden' calories are in the foods I tend to reach for and so try to be careful now.
I'm trying to go with the idea of foods with recognisable ingredients in an attempt to get rid of the junk in my diet.
If you truly want rid of the sachets and don't know anyone personally who wants them have you considered offering them on your local freecycle/freegle group? I imagine at this time of year someone will gladly take them.
Today was a bit of a better day for me. Not superb but definitely better. The only disappointing thing was I broke my own rule about getting on the scales....:o Whilst I know that a small weight gain can be normal it still felt like a kick in the teeth having just spent 45 mins working my butt off
Ah well, another day done. Hope everyone else is well0 -
Added 2 ppl to "friends" on my fitness pall
Can not find them now - no tab for friends only "add friends" - ahhhh
smoked mackerek, fresh tomato and 143 calorties left
will walk a dog again to make it to 230 calories to have choco SF milkshake :P0 -
ha ha ha
Am I suicidal?
Zumba classes, 2 mi walk from where I live, starting next Wednesday at £5 per hour class.....
Should I?
TBH I rather pay that £5 for a fitness class than SL or WW sitting in a circle and going "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" at one another (yawn)0 -
Yes, go for the Zumba! It looks fun

You're added as a friend on the website, your updates come up on my feed
I might try to offer them on freecycle or similar, saverholic, good idea!

I will suffer the SF shakes (as they taste lovely) but the Tesco own one latte (the gluey thingy)... yukkk good I only got 2 tinns and one is almost gone LOL
With the site XOXO - some things I find very hard to find and then when I do find them - the measurements is weird... sigh.....
Thinking what to use my 86 calories for... If I have half a mug of SF now with just one scoop of powder it will be 115 cal.. a bit over but hey...

I think I will go for Zumba - the gym is too far to walk and the cost of bus/gym fee etc... exercise classes and bus fares... with that Zumba literally round the corner 2 min walk - I have no excuse....
Just had an email with days/times:Friday 1pm, normal zumba class. Then we have a Zumba Gold class (low impact) on Mondays at 3.45pm. On Wednesday 6-7pm, normal Zumba class.
Not really sure if I can make it that time on Fridays but definitely Wednesday and Monday.. will start from the Monday one, with no exercise experience LOL better start from low impact
Yup, got 2 of you as friends on the site - but not sure about "feeds" as nothing to feed about yet LOL0 -
OMG.. done the "complete" button for today and a message came up:If every day were like today... You'd weigh 73.5 kg in 5 weeks
Considering my current weight is 75.5 that is only 2kg in 5 weeks...... that is not what I want buuuuuuuuuuu I want double that
So what do I do?
Adviceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee????????
Went over by 29 calories only with that half milkshake....

Enjoy your 2 calories!
:rotfl:
Remember it's only guessing your exercise calories, it could be more, and you may well get your target! You could always aim for under the recommended calorie intake though. I keep going under and it tells me off :rotfl::j0 -
JUst saw your update LOL MIne says under too - id does now say by 2 cal though (to others) LOL
Zumba is not listed under exercise, can you believe it?????
