  • Can I join in? I'm in the same situation, I cook meals mostly just for me and really want to lose weight. I need to cut down my portion sizes mainly, get more exercise as I sit at my desk all day at work and cut out the takeaways. I have all the equipment I need, a massive gym sized cross trainer, proper diet scales (they measure in 5g amounts) for measuring food and endless countryside for walks etc! I've been wanting to lose weight for a while but decided to wait until after Christmas and have just been very ill the last week and lost over a stone, so got an unwanted head start but also a lot of motivation and a serious loss of appetite so probably the best time to start.

Anyone can join in of course - lets see how we all get on ;)

Tuesday will be the day, week from my start ermmm will see what the scales say on Tuesday morning.

And then try for another week and see... if not working for me - will change to something else... Dukan perhaps?

Again, done it before, lost weight, put back on LOL

getingready do you not find that you get really constipated if you use meal replacements without drinking loads of water. I drink a lot anyway so found 4 litres a lot when I was on LL but easily managed 2 or 3 but tended to find it was like pooping concrete if I didn't drink enough.

Our course leader was always encouraging us to drink loads and although fat isn't water soluble it seemed to work as a fat diluter of sorts as I always lost more weight when I drank more like I was flushing the fat away lol
If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!

ali-t.. erm... quite opposite actually - with the slimfast shakes.. ermmmmm

Thinking about it, the CD, LIpotrim shakes are completely different consistency and TBH - prefer those

not a particularly good day for me. Spent the day slumped on the sofa doing some computer work whilst eating rubbish. Very annoyed with myself

Will put it behind me and promise myself that I'll do better tomorrow

I'm not sure how today went lol.

I did go to the gym, so that's a plus, and I did walk around Central London, miles and miles. but I did eat scone with cream and jam, and then went to The Real Greek and had a fairly big meal, but not as big as I use to have. So it went ok on the exercise front, but the spending and calorie front, hmm may not.

I hate Sundays. We have our roast at an awkward time so I don't have breakfast/lunch, but it's too early in the day to be dinner and I always end up hungry about 8pm. But despite having pasta and a bounty this evening according to the MyFitnessPal app i'm still under todays target calories.

They have a website too by the way if anyone wants an easy way to track how they're doing http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ :) The app is so easy, I just put in the food I eat or the calories for it, plus the exercise i've done and it works it all out for you :j
