The only thing I can think of is hot water might make it mix differently. A bit like mixing coffee with cold water rather than hot. You could always give it a go. Or mix them with cold water/milk and stick them in the microwave? :D

A Take 250 ml of cold skimmed milk
B Add 2 level scoops (in can) of powder to the milk
C Cover and shake well for approximately 20 seconds. For best results use a blender and ice

That's my way of thinking too. You see in a lot of threads on here people getting down when they first start exercising and eating properly because they put weight on rather than losing it because of the whole muscle weighing more than fat thing, so my thinking is i'd rather see the changes by dropping a dress size or 2 than aiming to lose a certain amount of weight which may not show results as fast.

Sharon that dinner sounds yummy! :D

It was, I've had the best 2 dinners in the past 2 days. Pitta pizzas and nandos mango chicken, both been fairly healthy too. I have to decide how to beat it tomorrow lol, or not bother as I'm actually working for a change! I've already made my sandwich work, instead of going to Pret.
  • Rather pleased tracked diet strictly over the last 5 days eating controlled portions of what i would normally eat anyhows like roast dinners with lots of veggies and meat but without added fat etc and while restricting my calories to about 1500 on average a day the scales this evening are already showing 2lbs lost (even if it is water weight, it still feels good). Makes the sudden reduction in crisps/chocolate/biscuits and cakes seem all that bit more worth while. Hope everyone elses journey is as positive!

  • Day one, I was hidden eating chicken casserole (in tomatos with sweetcorn), I was stuffing pastrami and gherkins for lunch 2 days ago, followed by mushroom porgourri for dinner plus fresh fruit salad yoghurt, then had half a tin of spaghetti hoops on a giant jacket potato with a tiny bit of cheese for dinner yesterday. Plus a yoghurt and a few cups of tea, some seaweed crackers and a tiny pack of almonds.

Would have been buying some proper motion control trainers and doing a bit more shopping and activity, but found out I was more skint than I thought, so only had a tenner to spend in Sainsbury's - and £4.87 of that was cat litter and cat crunchies.

I'm tired today, though. So I'm off to bed (which is very early for me).

    Night, all!

Hmmm, as it doesn't say *not* to use it you could always try. It might just be it makes a nicer drink when it's mixed with cold. Creamier or something and so easier to drink? I'm not a milkshake fan though so no idea but it can't hurt to try. I don't see how the chocolate would be any different to a hot chocolate?:D

    Well done D.O.D:T

    Hi all,

Congrats on the weight loss DOD :jgreat start!

Not the healthiest of days yesterday I must admit. Cereal bar for breakfast, ended up working through my lunch with a bag of crisps :o and then got home thinking that I had a portion of veggie chilli in the freezer so could do some quick burritos but OH was sniffing round the kitchen complaining he was starving and there was no food in. So ended up sticking him something in the oven and having a veggie burger and 2 pot croquettes - then ended up with some of his chips as well! *sighs* This is why I usually sort my own food out.

Need to get more motivated to be honest, shoulder/back seems better today so will try doing the shred tonight. For me it does tend to be exercise that makes a big difference and though I have been trying to walk more it's not exactly been the best weather for it this week.

Hun, has it been a week yet since you did the original WI? Can go up and down each day so best to do once a week at a similar time. Also on the meal replacement plans can take a week or two to settle down as your body gets used to it. Have you tried measuring as well - I find inches can often be a better judge then pounds.
