I picked up on your thread as it said you were single and wanting to cut down on costs with a view to losing weight. I too, am in that position. However, I am already concerned by the lack of food you seem to be consuming. Your habit of starving all day and stuffing and snacking out at night is actually terribly common, if not, the norm, for over-eaters.
You can buy slim-fast shakes and similar in the 99p and £ shops so hope your costs are controlled there. However, as you are taking exercise, what you need to do is eat more of the correct (good) fats, which will help your body to actually burn off more (bad) fat. This is the part of nutrition no-one seems to be able to get their head around.
Udo's Oil would be perfect for you. The thing that stops me taking it more regularly is the cost but, if you are spending on these shakes, etc. you might find the Udo's is actually cheaper. If you go on Savant's website you can find out all about it (endorsed by the likes of Helen Jenkins - triathlon) and also try get everyone entering the competition for a year's supply. We could possibly bulk order then send batches to our individual addresses and reduce the cost?
Certainly I endorse all the advice about following a healthy food diet. That would be no fancy stuff, just balanced meals featuring meats/fishes & veggies. You should get at least one good balanced meal a day, which I'm not sure you are?
It's already been proven the heaps of water doesn't necessarily bring the health benefits it's supposed to.
People swear by drinking Green tea to assist weight-loss and if you research that, that makes more sense. White tea has also been suggested but I've not researched it.
There are council outdoor/greenspace bootcamps appearing across the country which run during the day, if you don't work? They're free and may provide both exercise and dietary advice as well as possible motivation. Imagine you can take the dog along!
Have you also watched all of the Food Hospital Channel 4 series? That was great if you really listened to the advice?

Jo Be - thanks for posting but I think you misunderstood the purpose of this thread a little bit.

I am not asking anyone for personal advice for me....as such.

I drink red tea , pu-erth tea, green tea (leaf not tea bags), due to certain health issues not all exercise is allowed in my case etc etc etc

Everyone is doing their own thing and sharing their own experiences here - looking forward to reading yours?

    :)

I was hiding at the gym. 40 minutes to start off with, don't want to overdo it for first couple of weeks. I'm all signed up now, so have to use it, or it will be a waste of money lol.

I'm off to make something that doesn't sound healthy - pitta pizzas, but was actually on a programme called cook yourself thin. Pitta with chopped tomatoes with herbs in, a teensy bit of cheese and red onion and pepper. I'm going to have a corn on the cob and salad with it too. I don't understand starving yourself and love food, so I'll just eat alternative stuff.

I'm still lurking just haven't posted because I haven't started properly yet. I've cut down the past 2 days but didn't get to the shop until this afternoon to get my fresh fruit and veggies so tomorrow is day 1 for me :j

When did you weigh yourself last? I weigh myself once a week. Your body fluctuates up and down all the time.

How many calories do you eat a day? Because if it's too few, your body can go into starvation mode and try to keep the fat, that is until a certain point, then will need to burn fat for energy.

NOt doing much today, home all day with a short walk with the dog to break the day - but a really short one as Zara has hips displasia and yesterda's walks were too much so she needs an easy day today...

Still can not FORCE myself to drink water and I know this is going to be a problem.... hmmmm

Why do I feel deserted here suddenly now?

Where is everyone else? So many people were so enthusiastics ;)
