Pigpen you mean to say that you have eight kids and not one of them dares smuggle a snack upstairs? Can you come and train my son?

I'm still on nursing duty, I have no energy and if someone offered me a cleaner right now I would bite their hand off!

Morning (rather afternoon) everyone,

Been out all morning, so havnt done anything yet today, but most places are clean and tidy, so not much to do - need to pop up and swish the bathroom and toilets - i have made the beds tho. Also want to wipe down the kitchen, but will do that after lunch, and i also need to whip the hoover around, but that will wait until tonight and all the LOs have gone home.
Hope everyone is keeping warm - im most jealous of all the snow, nothing here at all!!!!

Well, I am cold. I need to clean and I need to study and all I want to do is sit on the sofa with a book and the fire on. Snow all melted here - it really shouldn't be allowed on a school day!

I'm going to try and warm up and then do an hours tidy and an hours study before picking up from school.

Munching my lunch, spaghetti and meatballs! and a cuppa.. I'm almost warm now!

Phonecalls made.. need to chase DD4's hospital appointment, they were meant to be posting one but haven't.. and it's taken me 5 weeks to notice!

Just received a text saying DS1 is off school tomorrow for teacher training.. JUST what I need.. NOT.. he is a PITA.. could have him drop his school blazer off to be cleaned though.. there's an idea.. it is filthy.

Oh yes!!!

I am really mean you know.. they eat in the kitchen and drink in the kitchen and no food or drink goes beyond the kitchen door (unless it is mine!! lol) I started as I meant to go on.. these are my 10 rules, even when we only had 1 child.

1. you eat what is on your plate.. or starve, but you get nothing else!
2. no food or drink beyond the kitchen door.. (I hate wet carpets) on pain of death and mutilation.
3. If you want to give me lip you best make sure you can run fast because I WILL have the last word!
4. Do as I ask and do it now I won't be asking again.
5. I can see round corners and hear up the stairs you have been warned.
6. I will not get involved in petty squabbles or battles.. unless there is blood.
7. If you think it is yours it is probably mine so I'll confiscate it if you argue over it.
8. You are NEVER too big to be clobbered with the pressure cooker.. even when you are taller than me.. I'll just wait until you sit down, I am very patient.
9. My temper is like a hurricane.. it'll blow up, blow you away, blow things up and apart.. unless you want that to be you.. back off!!
10. My way or my way... your choice!

I banned germs & vomit too!!

Hope you are back on flybot duty and off nurse duty very soon!!

Thanks Pigpen, I am going to print those rules off and stick them somewhere prominent

I don't seem to have done very well with the banning germs and vomit though.

I havent got any kids of my own, but my step-daughter is expecting her second child. Will print them out for her ready for the day he/she arrives.

The amount of times ive told my 2 'I CAN HEAR YOU' - just because they cant see me, they think i cant see/hear them!!!
i do love number 8 as well - i too can be patient!!!
(already have the rule re no food upstairs tho)

well i have been to town this morning - posted lots of letters ,dd2 shoe check still fit phew, bought bread and craft things as have completely run out and dd1 has been begging for sticking for a month - so did also pick up elc catalogue for cutting and sticking!!

Before that i hoovered and mopped lounge floor hasn't been done before christmas so am v pleased about that, also have bedding in wm and dw emptied, some washing in td and some on radiators :T

am just about to set timer for dr

I am not happy that we have no snow - is it only the south west that had rain instead? :mad:

oh Nicki i have same issue re calves and boots!! v frustrating someone told me about duo boots - you can buy online and they do lots of different calf widths - they also have a big sale on at the moment and my mum got some from £100 to £55!! i have never been able to buy long boots so would be worth having a look - not as cheap as wellies tho
