Morning everyone!
I'll sneak quietly back in. I've done very little over the past couple of days. DH has helped do the dailies. I was feeling off it on Tuesday (eyes hurting/headachey) then at playgroup, and had a massage yesterday (woncderful couple of hours without the baby). I still feel a bit grotty today but the house is so quickly going a bit backwards.
Plan today - i have a baby massage class this afternoon, so i need to catch up on the washing. DH was mumbling something about no clean jeans, but he knows where the WM is.I'll also have a slow potter.
The snow isn't too bad here, but it is blinking freezing. DH went to work with his thermal vest, and a shovel in the car, as Sheffield can grid lock badly when snowy. He's also got to drive over to Manchester today for a meeting, so like nicki, i'll worry till he comes back.
I'll report back later what i manage. You never know, one i start i might get some more motivation from somewhere.

ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!
I love the snow but its making life difficult for me (whats new!).
We had a suprise phonecall from DFS just three weeks after ordering our new sofa, telling us it was going to be delivered this Friday! Asides from the fact this is the worst week possible for us to try and arrange to get rid of our old sofa, the snow has now made collection incredibly difficult! I had offered it on freecycle and the person who was supposed to collect it says they can't get through the snow. We really don't have room for two sofas in our house. Boo hoo!
Moggins, do you want a new sofa - lol!!!!!!
The upside is that DH can't get to work today so he can watch the kids whilst i catch up with all my flying! What the Deuce?0 -
Morning Everyone - hope you're all well and not snowed in!:D
I've been listening to the local radio and watching their website to see if they're going to send the kids home from dd's school. Its the only one in our area that's open and the teachers were all grumbling when I dropped her off earlier. Bit of a blizzard for the last 4 hours so I'm hoping I can get to w**k........ or perhaps not
Anyway, on with the list
dailies all done - have put a very large chilli in the slow cooker so there's plenty of hot food when the tribe start arriving home.

Sort through bookcases for any that you know you aren't going to read again and either donate or sell. Ok, there is a slight problem with this .......... I have three 8ft bookcases and two rows of books on each shelfI'd need to put aside a whole day to deal with that. Promise, I will put it on my to do list. I did actually send 5 large boxes of books to charity about a year ago so it was worse and I am trying to use the library more and not buy books but people keep giving them to me!
And I don't really have to remind you by now to do your dailies and nightime routines do I? Nope, I'm on the case!
Have a fun day everyone - I'll look in later when I get home from work."all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
Well I did nothing yesterday apart from a bit of ironing as I was in school all day then I went to Slimming World at night. However Thursday is my childfree day - well a few hours anyway - so I thought I'd do both day's lists today.
So what happens - it snows! - school closed, nursery closed - now DD off school until week on Monday due to half term!
I can't see much happening in the kids' bedrooms at the moment, as I put things away, they get them out again!
Besides which I seem to be spending all my time finding them numerous things to do and stopping arguments - DD teases DS continuously!

Morning all
Just got one daughter still at home and she's 22 so she's old enough to do her own bedroom!
Just doing dailies today, I did baking yesterday and I had a bad night worrying about the snow and other stuff so I'm taking it steady. But I've done the washing and draped it round the radiators, washed up after breakfast, and prepared potatoes and vegetables for lunch.
Off to wipe the dog's feet again. The snow is melting and it's very muddy out there.0 -
Can I ask a silly question? What is S and S?
I know I saw it somewhere but can't remember and can't find the post againMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

racy red I'm pretty sure it is swish and swipe - which I think is a lightning wipe over!
Yes, the snow dance last night worked! Actually, I went to the loo at 4.30am and there wasn't any snow, but by 6.30am, lots! I would probably still have gone to my course, but listened to the radio, and the children's school was closed. Shame.:D So I have a day off. And I have sat here for hours, and only done the washing up, two lots of washing and a little bit of tidying. Someone shout at me please!
I was so tired last night that I forgot to say thank you to everyone for the advice about slowcookers. I don't have a Robert Dyas near me, but there's a branch close to my mum and sister's, so I shall ask them to get me one!
Right, time for another coffee, and then it'll be nearly lunch time...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Thanks Serena, that makes sense, I have my thick-head on this morning... againMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
