Just in case my sister catches me on here (yes Becca YOU!)
Yes, I did hoover and finish the kitchen and girls rooms:T
DD's rooms so much easier now, only 2 pair of socks behind the midsleeper and a chocolate wrapper (secret eating tut tut tut) instead of the 12 pair I found the first "fly" I did...:rotfl:
My DD is bringing 3 girls home for tea and to get ready for the Valentines school disco tonight and I am so laid back and actually quite proud of my tidy house.. I don't have to hide washing and ironing and run around like a headless chicken cleaning the kitchen or loo..Fantastic, this flying
Again a BIG THANK YOU for this wonderful thing called flying...:T and for all your support and encouragement
We had a bit of snow this morning here in the east of Scotland but all gone now, thank goodness.0 -
Loads of snow and all the schools shutting has affected my FLY-ing today....not done much (other than build a snowman with DSs!)
Have done some ironing and 1 load of washing and 1 load of drying, have also put washing away, emptied DW and that's about it!!! Did the kids rooms at the beginning of the week, so didn't need to do Moggins list today:j . However, kitchen and bathroom were missed - so need to do those later..

Good girl big sister of mine!!
I had a quick tidy of the kitchen as DH didn't load the dishwasher before going to work... and had a quick tidy of the girls' room. Then I took the whole lot of the out to play in the snow. Holland is white at the moment and it might only last a day or two so !!!!!! the cleaning, and off to play!
But my sister is right, this flying is amazing. WHy didn't I think of it myself?
I had a man come round to look at the heating today I was wasn't at all embarressed to let him walk through the door! :T
I think the encouragement we give each other here makes all the difference.

Oh yes.. by the way, you are SO right!
I feel like I've done nothing!! because the girls' room was tidy in about 10 minutes flat. where I used dread even going in there! I once spent an entire weekend trying to make it habitable again! And now?? I just whizz through.. wipe a cloth round, hoover and that's it. beds will get changed on the weekend again due to the cheap electricity for washing and drying then.

Can someone please let me know what exactly a 'Fly Lady' is?
Reading the thread I can see it's got something to do with cleaning and planning your cleaning maybe but have searched the threads and cannot find out any more information!! Probably me but could anyone explain or point me in the right direction.
It looks like something that would benefit me I'm sure......thank you.Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know it's me"0 -

Oh bliss! After agonising as to whether all the staff could get to school (we all live about 10 -15 miles away, and it's very rural!) I decided to close! And hey, I've almost caught up with this week's tasks! Now I know I ought to retire - then I'd not feel so guilty!...only thing is...flying is unpaid, isn't it?Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0
