decide whether to watch Lost.. I have been following it up till now, but getting a bit sick of the drawn out storylines and never finding out the truth, the suspense is killing me. Not watching it tonight anyway

Better get to it, I have half an hour to get the chores done, starting....NOW

Evening all. Pigpen, you have my sincere sympathy over the home improvement chaos. May it all have a happy ending and may everyone in your home (eventually) come to love the results.
Moggins, I'm sorry to hear you've had a rotten weekend. Just remember, nervous breakdowns have to be scheduled like everything else. Most people save them up for when the crisis is over, but if you have it during the crisis you can avoid having to deal with anything. So I'm told.;)
I haven't really been flying this week so it all caught up with me when I hosted a birthday lunch yesterday at mine for a friend. I'd left all the cleaning and tidying for Saturday morning then had to waste 30 mins dashing out for loo roll. Then the guests coming from furthest away call to say they would be 45 minutes early as the journey had gone so well. That was just after I uncovered the kitchen floor for the first time in three weeks:eek: but there was no time to do more than sweep it.
That said, I somehow felt better because everything was dusted, and the inside of the microwave and the fridge was really clean, etc etc.
Lunch went well; guests here from 12 to 5.30 and left reluctantly, so I assume they enjoyed the food and company.
Have done 2 WM loads today, shopped at the farmers market and caught up with friends - gave one a BOGOF microfibre cloth from Morrison's, bit sad eh?
Tonight I bought my train ticket (via Quidco) to Grimsby for next weekend and am also in the middle of cleaning and sorting out the cutlery drawer.
Working tomorrow so will get a limited amount of flying done.
    Have a good week everyone.
