Done three loads of washing - how can I have three loads when I've done washing every day?

Making french onion soup now. Haven't made it before so I hope it's OK.

    Just started raining again.

    Omigosh!!

    You will not believe this!!

My husband cleared the kitchen floor, which I am halfway through washing. He them went upstairs to do a job.. he is taking out the boys bedroom doorframe and replacing it with a straight full sized one.. we ahve now decided he is taking out the whole WALL!!!!! and moving it 12 inches into the boys room to make the bathroom bigger so the new loo fits in properly.

WHY on earth can he not just do the simple things he set out to do?????

The really bad thing is.. IT WA MY IDEA!!!!!!!! PMSL... I have rubble ALL over the boys room.. ALL the furniture has been moved, the bathroom is in a state Moggins would have blue fits over and my nice vacuumed landing is FILTHY!!

Oh, the boys are hysterical because we won't allow them in their room on the PS2... ARGH!!!!!!

Oh heck seems you have started something there Pigpen. I end up doing the same, go to sort something and make more mess than I start with as I go OTT, saying that the house is rented so no removing walls for me :) Hope it goes well, and that you find somewhere else for the PS2 for now to keep the boys happy (mine are upstairs playing on Megadrive with Dad before he goes to work hence I have snook on here in between wash loads :) )

Minnie, good luck, just read your post on the daily thread.
One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen deep breathe and count to a thousand, I find that the weekends when OH is home are horrendous he starts one job and ends up finishing another that he started the previous weekend, fortunately he has gone out to the rugby so other than have the kids this morning while I went shopping he hasn't managed any of his usual mess.

    List for me today -
    [STRIKE]meal plan[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]shop[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]cook meals [/STRIKE]on hob as we speak
    [STRIKE]WM[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]DW[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]ironing[/STRIKE] ( not kept up the last few days so aiming to clear today)
    bathroom quick clean
[STRIKE]kitchen[/STRIKE] - yes I need to check for lids and tubs that don't match.

Hope all have a good day.

What have I started???? I thought I would sort out my tubs/lids like Moggins sugested and ended up with the contents of all my top kitchen cupboards all over the worktop!! One thing led to another and thought I might as well keep cleaning out the cupboards.

Just a little break and then I will re organise them, throwing out as I go.

    Other things to do:

    WM with uniforms
    hoovering
    kitchen floor
    beds
    tidy hotspots
S & S bathroom (someone made a brownie in there and left some marks!)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Afternoon all. I've spent a lovely day so far watching Saturday kitchen (when I finally got up around 10am :D ) then Time Team on More4! I have made the beds and sorted out the dry washing from yesterday. OH has done one batch of dishes and I'm just about to finish off typing up some ebay listings while OH does the ironing. Then I'm going to make tea of roast vegetables with cous cous..completely new meal to us so we'll have to see how well it goes down

Nothing else planned all weekend except washing and keeping up with the dailys :D Promised DD she can do Hama and jewellry making tomorrow. Could prove to be a bad idea. :rotfl:

Made sticky date bars and cranberry flapjacks. Never tried either recipe before so I don't know what they're like. I'll let you know when they've cooled.

They sound yummy. Is it possible to let us (me!) have the recipe please?

    Pffew... Time for a break.

I've been running my little legs off today.

This morning I went with DD1 to look at a new school.
Then off to scouting to witness DD3 being initiated.
Off home.. lunch.. baby to bed.

Did 5 loads of washing so far. Folded and ironed everything that needed ironing out of that lot. Hoovered, tidied up living room and kitchen, and had a mega row with DS (16yrs) old. I put him to work to vent his anger and agression. Made him sweep the back garden, and the front of the house, before he had finally calmed enough to have a proper conversation with me. (He was mad at me because I didn't accept him telling me to f..... off. How dare I punish him for that! What WAS I thinking??)

Anyway, all sorted now. Time for pizza, a quick wipe of the kitchen.
and some more washing of course. We try to benefit from the cheap electricity we get in the weekend.

That's why I'm not getting started on that one yet!.. I KNOW it will get to be a really really big job!

Good on you sis! I so wish I could just pop round your house for a wee moan and a cuppa!

:rotfl: I did that on Monday, stupidly emptied every single naffing cupboard and spent the rest of the day cleaning them and putting it all back. I've still done a tubs sort today as I know I had a few breakages this week, tend to happen when you drop when full of a frozen something.

Well the kitchen still needs finishing. L/R is clean and tidy (ish), kids come down for half an hour, mess it up, go upstairs I clean up down here, come back down and I do upstairs, can see this chasing tail pattern emerging! So I am leaving upstairs until bedtime and will just make sure down here is kept straight!
