:hello:
Right i'm ALL set for today, Astons room is actually the tidiest in the house so not much to do there so that means more time to do more 27 fling boogies! Have done one already although i was boogiing to Hi-5
Woke up this morning to loads of snow, it looks lovely, was supposed to be going to a parenting course today but dont know if i'll be able to make it as DS is poorly, he's had a cough since sat night so dont want him to get worse, my mum was going to have him but she's only just woke up.
It's bin and recycling day today so am gonna go round and collect up all the newspapers/magazines/card/papaer etc and get it out to the bin, aghhh just remembered i need bin bags
EDIT - mums just rang, she'll be here at twenty past 9, course is at half 9, so i'll have to start flying later, also gives me a chance to pop to shops for some bin bags, also forgot to put i need to do a couple of wash loads too :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
woheyyyy we have lots of SNOW!!!!!!! :T
i think this is the first time since i am here in the uk that i've seen proper (!! not just a little icing which disappears within the hour and still causes a major traffic chaos) SNOW!!!!!
i was up at at 6am already (due to 2 little monsters- i really should be used to it by now because it happens every day!! - but still ...)
but i couldn't get to the pc because ds would growl at me and not get anywhere close - and he's only 2.5
but he's at nursery now!! (had to take OH's car and swap seats because (silly!) neighbour got 'stuck' with her car and blocked mine in)
dd is still asleep hence me being here
and i think a cuppa is coming up too
i am glad that i finished things off last evening! makes it so much nicer in the morning coming down :T
- folded a mountain of washed clothes (like pigpen (^5 girl!) there is no i**n in this house)
- put the d/w on and it's un/reloaded already
- put the toys away
- prepared ds clothes
makes all the difference :T:D
kids bedroom?!?!?!?!?
can't do too much rummaging because OH is asleep next door but i need to sort through their clothes ... again!!
too many too small!
i really need to start on putting things on ebay  but where to start!
AND
i agree: you are nuts!! (whoever raises their hands)
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
Mics_chick wrote:Moggins just gone back to Flylady website (first time in ages) cos I thought she gave a "day off" in the week which you don't seem to mention and notice that what's listed in your to do lists for a week she seems to do over a month - is this me or am I reading it wrong?? I know this sort of thing is personal choice anyway and I'm not making any comments either way - but I just wondered if I am interpreting it correctly and yours is weekly and Flylady is monthly why it's like this - being an owner of a newly decluttered house inexperienced in the ways of regular housework!!!
Doing it monthly just seems to drag on and even I can't see how one room could take someone a week to do! I think they must have much bigger rooms than we do here!
Hun please don't feel you have to follow our way of doing things if you're not happy with it. This is just the system we have got into over the months of doing the Flylady Challenges. I tend to give people the weekend off rather than a day in the week so they can enjoy time with their kids still knowing that the house has all been done.
We follow the Flylady system but not to the letter, I did try the Flylady way exactly but by the time I had done one room a week I needed to go back the next week and do it all again, one room a day gets the job done faster and once it's been done for a couple of weeks, it gets faster and faster, so instead of just one day off a week people are finding that it takes no more than a couple of hours a day and gives them their whole weekends free.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Its amazing here this morning ....so much snow. Apparently my school is closed so even if I wasn't off sick there would be no school for me today!

Well I'm back from the shops & school run. I've bought some new wellies from Asda...lovely pink ones with roses on...not my style at all but thats all they had and I've decided to take a snow morning so I can go for a walk in our local park and maybe around the local area so I can take some pretty pictures. :j Will tackle DD's room on Saturday when she's had her friend around for tea/playing
Right. Off to put the veg/fruit away then it's wellies on and park here I come
:D:D:D
BTW those who think it takes ages to do the jobs it does get easier as you go along. It only took me an hour the other day to clean the whole house top to bottom (2up2down) and 30 minutes of that was bathroom and kitchen! Which is why I can afford to go for a walk before the snow gets too deepCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Well i didn't get anything done yesterday due to my back killing. It is still hurting this morning but not as bad, i can at least walk today lol
I can't believe we have snow!! Just stepped out of the door on the way to school and it started, my lad was so excited! I didnt have a raincover for the buggy though so it was a mad dash to school! I looked like a snowman when i got back. I just defrosted myself and am ready for work while Mia is asleep.
I can't do today's list as my lad's bedroom is an empty shell, well it has a set of draws and an empty bookcase in it lol I am having his new bed delivered tomorrow and most of his toys are still in the lock up from moving....am bringing them over on sat. So i will be doing yesterdays list as my living room looks like a bomb site! so my day is...

I suppose that's what I wanted to hear but couldn't think of for myself...
As I say not being used to regular cleaning habits (EVER!!) I just needed it spelling out for me to get it...You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:
