    Thanka for replying

Have you made a dough in the Magimix? Does it come out elastic or would I have to knead it a bit by hand

The only thing I've occasionally mused over is a sausage maker, this attachment only comes with the Kenwood I think, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I don't know if this is a matter to consider for you.

If my OH presented me with a kitchen gadget for my wedding anniversary i would personally wrap it round his neck.

If i wanted/needed anything like this it would come out of the household money.

I want diamonds, chocolates and flowers, in that order thank you very much.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Ive got the kenwood chef prospero and it has
    dough hok
    K blade
    baloon whisk

    Plus

    juicer

    Plus blender/ li1quidiser

    Plus Food processor attachments
    Chop
    Slice
    Grate
    Shred

The best piece of kit Ive ever had, Ido think its a bit cumbersome to store, I guess it depends on your kitchen and what Its like. We have the space for it and its not an issue, I got it for Xmas and we use it every day.

It was 120 quid off amazon.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Hi Angeltreats

    Thanks for replying...

Don't have space for both I am afraid...

For the price, I really like the kenwood FP that you recommended. Will check that also.

Triker, we are veggie.. so won't need the sausage one...

Though would look into the pasta making one soon I am sure. I love fresh pasta

I would have done the same but right now our jobs are under redundancy threat and thats why want to buy something useful that would save me time in the kitchen and save us money so we don't buy processed ready made stuff.

I have shown him your post for next year ;)

  • I have just given my chef and all the attachments to my dd and have ordered the cuisinart 16 cup elite processor, after a lot of research.
  • Hi MoneyQueen, the slicer I've got is this one http://www.electricshopping.com/shop/kenwood/kenwood-store/mixers-food-processors/kenwood-chef-major/chef-major-accessories/kenwood-high-speed-slicershredder/index.html it may well be that the Lakeland one is a newer model.

I can highly recommend Electric Shopping, my attachments all came from them and their service was very good.

The Kenwood mincer comes with a sausage attachment which looks very straightforward but we haven't used it yet.

I'd love diamonds and flowers but I guess it depends on your disposable income, we don't have slack in our ordinary household budget for something like the Kenwood and given our financial situation I'd rather have something useful!

  • Hi lynzpower,

Thanks for suggesting kenwood chef prospero. Have never heard of this before..

Will have a look as it seems to be much cheaper than the other ones so if it does the same job then great
