The path down the side of our house is covered in moss. What's the best way to get rid of it cos I'm getting fed up of looking out of the window and seeing it.

I've moved this to the greenfingered board too as there should be plenty of gardeners on there to give you advice.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I wouldn't be without a decent hard bristled brush for the skippery stuff but woul a hoe get rid of the bulk of it?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Thanks Gingham Ribbon and Pink-Winged. I thought I'd looked in the index but I probably dreamt it.
A hoe might get rid of the bulk of it, have to try that, I scraped some off last year, and tried the bleach thing which didn't really do much. I think the biggest problem is the path isn't a flat surface, it's like dodgy lumpy concrete. Maybe tomorrow if the weather is nice I'll get out there and have another go at it.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
The trick I've found is that the brush needs to be quite densely bristled and really stiff. Almost like a scrubbing brush with a long handle. I got mine very cheaply at a local hardware shop.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I use soda crystals in hot water and pour it on the surface. I then sprinkle some more crystals on and give it a scrub.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

Careful use of a pressure washer will make light work of this task!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0

Sweep then pressure wash then use a dilute bleach solution on it about once a week from a watering can. That should do the trick:j1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

You could try Brick Cleaner (it's about £5 from B & Q). It's Hydrochloric Acid though so be careful with. Brings the patio up like new every year.

Not a gardener so i guess it is a green moss that is growing on the concrete area in the garden. How do i get rid of it?Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way
