Halifax Offering £100 To Switch To Them

When I received the transfer forms from Halifax at the top where your current bank account details are were someone elses sort code and account number.
Abit worrying really, does this mean someone else was sent forms with my account details on?
I credited the account with £1,000 when I opened it in February and put another £1,000 in last week. They received the transfer forms in February (confirmed with customer services) so when should I get my £100?
are you sure the sort code and acc number wan't your new halifax account details
but worth querying the numbers, to know that your dd's are being transferred. have you received a list of dd's that they have obtained from existing bank?0 -
I applied for one of these jobbies, they sent me a letter asking for the last three months of bank statements 'displaying my salary and (interestingly) no charges'.
I do no regularly accrue charges, the last time being nearly 2 years ago (on two occasions). However, one of the most recent transactions on my statements was a refund of bank charges.
They sent me a letter telling me I didn't pass their qualifying tests. Checked my credit files, all seem fine.
How very very odd, don't you think?
I am with FD so my other half is going to join them from Halifax and get the £100 anyway!! :jI have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
1% over payments on cc 3.5/100 (March 2014)0 -
Hmm, five working days later and the £100 I transferred still hasn't appeared.
I recieved "A copy of the Bank Account Conditions which apply to your account" but no instructions (or address!) to send it to so decided it was for my perusal (as the letter inferred). Later I received another letter asking me to send the application form back... I thought !!!!!!??
So I phoned Halifax, who fobbed me off with "the money might appear in the account later today" kept saying "it can take up to four working days" my insistance that it's been five working days was met with the same bloody arguement - "yes, but it can take up to four working days" then told me I should have already sent off the application form. He was really patronising, treating me like I was a retard, I mean !!!!!! I have a physics degree mate, you work in a call centre
I can't do anything with my online account yet.
I hope the £100 appears and it gets sorted soon :mad:I am not really an Eskimo. I can hear what you're thinking... "Inuit!"0 -
HFAx are useless.
I'm a few days away from week 8 now since they received my transfer request forms and I had my account opened.
I get a different reason for the delay each time I ask... but 2 months is ridiculous.
Once they pay the £100, I'll just transfer everything myself.
It is annoying having to satisfy both my old and new current account requirements by juggling money between them unnecessarily (not to mention the few pence lost in interest).0 -
i sent off the application form as soon as the offer became available and recieved my roll number during the fisrt week of march.
i had my account confirmed and a roll number given to me but did not pay in the £100 until the 23rd March 2007.
would i be therefore deemed to have qualified for the offer if i pay in the 2 lots of £10000 -

That meant that your application reffered to the underwriters, who in turn declined your application. There could be other reasons, such as no credit to assess, time at job, time at employer, electorol roll
The £100 is no longer on for your other half. it ended on the 16th0 -

There was a problem where the £100 was going into clearing if the funds were transfered by bank credit from another bank.
Ask them if this is the case
and just because you have a physics degree does not mean that the person in the call centre is low class. It is not their fault
I have a degree and work in a bank - so what many people do have degrees0 -
