Oh dear I seem to have neglected my diary for a long time. Where does the time go?
I currently have a few more PPI claims I'm waiting to hear about, so fingers crossed. If they do pay up I should be able to pay off most of my remaining debt. It feels very strange saying that after such a long time of being in debt.
I'm also managing to make a good start on the de-cluttering thanks to the de-cluttering thread - it's very motivational. My aim is to hopefully get the tidy rooms to join together :rotfl: then I can make some proper redecoration plans. It really needs doing but no more rushing headlong into it. No it's calm and steady for me now, with hopefully a good result.
I wish the weather would pick up as I definitely want to get out into the garden and get sorted for some veggies again this year. I need to fix the glass in the greenhouse door so I can start sowing a few seeds.
One thing I ned to do is keep up to date with challenges here but not get distracted and spend all day on others diarys.;)
Off to do some washing updone, laundry 2 loads doneand more decluttering.:j1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Evening diary.
It's been a strange day today, something has been niggling at me all day and it wasn't until about an hour ago I realised I moved into this house 10 years ago today. So much has happened and life has taken so many twists and turns I can hardly imagine life back then.
I have been really worried about money today as well, it all seems to have gone into crisis too. I'm short to pay a bill and wanted to settle an account too but it's going to have to come out of Fridays pay packet. The bill won't be late but I feel quite annoyed with myself for taking my eye of the ball, money wise that is.
So tomorrow is the start of the next ten years. I'm going to make a plan of what I would like to achieve and perhaps post it here. I thinks it's time to get back my sparkle and my guts. Living for today and not waiting for others to give me permission to do things, or waiting for the time to be right to do things.
I'm really feeling very odd. I keep thinking about what I could have done better, but that's not helpful really. So I'm now going to try to thing what has been good and the good things I plan to do.
Positive things will happen tomorrow. Perhaps exercise too. :rotfl:1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Wow, what a fabulous day I've had today. I have spent most of it in the garden with the little one digging over the veggie plot and generally tidying up. It's so nice just to be able to get out and enjoy some nice weather, it lifts the mood so much.:j:D
My other half only steps out of the house when he needs to - work etc and wonders why he feels so bad. Never mind we have enjoyed ourselves getting filthy and making a difference.
I have been looking at my house through different eyes today. I'm so lucky to have it and really need to start lavishing the love it deserves. I still have the original bay windows originating from 1896 so they are the first project. This week coming I'm going to start renovating them by stripping them back to the wood and returning them to their beautiful selves. I can't wait till DH is back at work and I can get started.;) I love having time off work and love to do something productive with the time.
Also decluttering - more decluttering.:eek::eek:
Plus lots of fun time with the little one. This is always the best time.:heartpuls:heartpuls1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hello diary
Another lovely day here with no money spent and a good time spent in the garden with the little one.
I really need to keep this positivity going as I'm getting much more done and enjoying life much more.
Still no PPI news, fingers crossed as I could do with the money right now.
I already have tomorrow planned. A few hours out with mum and the little one, a few hours decluttering and a good old spring clean. I would also like to clear out the greenhouse :eek::eek:.
Lets see what the new day brings.:T1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

So again back to the poor neglected diary mainly because I need to give myself a good talking to and a massive kick up the bum.
I still have debts, but not a massive amount now due to the PPI repayments. Since having these payments though I have really started to get very lazy with money. For some strange reason I must think I'm richer than I am.:o
Forward to this morning I took my car in for a repair which I had been quoted and had the money for........I thought........good job I checked my back account. I feel sick, I had the money and plus some but it seems to have been frittered away on top up shops etc. I'm so cross with myself and seriously need to get a grip. Luckily I can scrape enough for the bill but will have nothing until payday. I do have a little put away for a tax bill (not enough yet) but feel loathed to use that as it makes it harder come the end of the tax year.
It's been a long, long time since I had the money shakes. I feel so stupid and angry with myself. I should be out of debt hell my April next year at the latest (I'm aiming for Christmas) but seem to being going out of my way to sabotage it.
So from now on parsnip is locking herself in the root shed (well the debit card anyway), paying from a set amount of cash and when it's gone, it's gone. I refuse to start feeling like this again.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

That's what happens to me, I pay off debt and think I actually have money to spend but no I really should be staying within my means. This time it's pay it off and keep it off!

Thanks for the reply Chrysalis1976. It's times like these which can feel very lonely. I like the name, it's very positive. I'm sure you will beat your debt too.
I have been checking car, house and life insurance this morning and could halve my payments by approximately £50. I need to check if I have any penalties but even if I do it will probably still be worthwhile. I'm a little confused with the life insurance linked to my mortgage, I can be a little stupid when it comes to this.
We make meal plans for each fortnight but my DH is always changing his mind throwing plans out. It's time to get tough I think, if he wants anything extra he is going to have to buy it himself.
Later I'm going to plan my monthly in comings and outgoings a little better. I have a new diary which I can jot down when each payment is due out. I need to get much, much more organised.
There is some stuff to get rid of so I can feel an eb4y session coming on.:( this is such a struggle but it must be done. Also on a positive note I have some money due to me for an alteration I made for someone. Only small amount but it helps.
Off to do some more decorating with stuff I have sitting in the cellar - no more spending.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

After a day of panic the other day I have calmed down and spent the past few days working things out.
I'm looking for some stuff to pop onto eBay later it to be honest I don't have much left worth selling. I will have a scout around anyway.
I have been working out all my monthly payments down to the last penny (hopefully) and plan not to spend a penny more. It's all the extras which throw me out money wise so September is going to be a strict month.
I have made plans for what's needed for the little one for winter and Christmas and have budgets for both.
Hopefully by the end of the year I will be on track to still be debt free.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

I have 319 days until the next big life change. I have known this is coming for a while and need to spend the next 10 1/2 months doing some hard word.
So I plan to leave my current job at the end of the next academic year. when I had my little one I dearly wanted to be a SAHM for a while and work from home but life and mainly outstanding debts stopped that. My DS will be starting nursery next September and if I don't sort myself out he will be having to go into morning and afternoon clubs three days a week. I really don't want this, they spend enough time at school and I want to be there to take and collect him.
Hopefully by the end of this year or April at the latest all debt bar the mortgage will be gone. It's been a looooooooooong time coming so things will be easier. I now have to plan, get things into place and plan to use this diary to help keep things organised.
The first jobs are to get the house into a condition where I have to spend less time on it and less time stressing about it. Also I need to work on getting more self employed work so I'm at a comfortable level when I do leave. This will also involve getting my etsy shop sorted and stocked by the end of October.
So for now and to be added to
Complete garden this week
Finish decorating bathroom
Finish decorating lobby
Decorate hallway
Freshen up sitting room
Declutter, declutter and de hoard.
Sort shop stock
New price lists
Pay off 10% more debt each month
Start saving once debt has gone
Organise year - birthdays, Christmas, etc
Shop around regularly for best deals
GET A GOOD ROUTINE GOING;)
Off to get started. Decluttering another load of stuff to the charity shop today and more work in the garden if dry. Also some time this afternoon decorating.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

318 days to go
Another day gone and spent some of it de hoarding more rubbish. I need to have a well running home if I want to achieve all of my plans, I also need space and calm.
I have also started looking at me and my health. I'm carrying an extra couple of stones which need to go and I have also let myself go which I'm ashamed of. This is not only because I look a slob but its starting to really affect my joints and cause other issues. I will need to be weighed and log it on here to keep an eye on weightless. I have been using myfitnesspal and find the success stories on the site really inspiring.
This evening I'm going to plan the allotment part of the garden to get maximum results. I have got loads of veg in previous years and need as much as possible to help cut costs.
Tomorrow is DH birthday so I'm going to spend the day with him but may slope of to the tip for a short time.
I'm starting to feel really confident and hope I can keep this positivity going.:D1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
