Oops the diary was abandoned for a cole of days. Wel not actually abandoned but I couldn't prize the computer from hubby's hands.

Just the same here really, slowly working at paying off debts while trying to get the house looking like a home rather than a hovel.

I went off to the big city today too look for fabric but came home with none - never mind. I did manage to get a couple of bits for the nipper for Christmas so it wasn't a complete waste of time. At last, I have been worrying about Christmas. I always used to have it done by the end of September but that seems to have slipped since the debts piled on which is odd as spreading out the cost is much more manageable.

Anyway off to the garden centrepiece in the next couple of days to get Mums present so that will also be out of the way. I might try to get a couple of family cards this weekend so I can pop money in for my brother.

I did get a bargain on cards a couple of weeks ago. One box was 99p and the other was 49p so along with last years leftovers they will be enough.

Off the subject of Christmas though - sorry to mention it, I need to finish the painting out front in the morning. This will mean starting on the ones put back though but at least I have enough paint to do them without spending more. Ones.

Right must get the vacuuming done:eek::eek::eek:.

    Bye

I just read my previous post, complete gibberish. Flipping touch pads, my typing is not good enough to use them.

I have been having a good old think recently and giving myself a good old kick up the bum. I have been looking at my whole life and made a few decisions on what I need to do to get things straight for each part of it. I feel the diary is helping me so I have decided to list them here and reassess where I get to by the end of the year.

    Money
To continue paying off my debts via my DMP.
To make extra money via eBay, selling on folksy, etc.
To pay off one debt completely by the end of the year.

    Me
I really need to lose some weight, at least 1 1/2 stones. My first target is half a stone to get me to 10 1/2 stones.
Get my wardrobe sorted. You wouldn't believe I was a professional dressmaker if you saw me.

    House
To carry on with redecorating, etc using stuff I already have as much as I can. Only buy new supplies when needed.
To do some mood boards to plan rooms not started yet.
Get the previously nice garden back into shape and reinstate veg plots at the bottom. I have been very lazy this year.

    Work
To carry on in my current job for the time being, but work towards self employment again.

BUT the first thing I need to do is stop procrastinating. So TODAY I wil
Print off the forms to claim back (fingers crossed) the PPI on my loan and find paperwork for my old credit cards.

Right off I go. Have a good day all.

Blimey it's been a while. It's surprising how I have less time when off work than I do during term time. Mind you I'm an awful procrastinator at the best of times.

I got back from holiday a week ago, a rainy week in North Wales, and things seem to have slipped at home. I can't get things done with hubby under my feet. He went off back to work this morning and I have got loads done.

I need to finish off the housework then get some more PPI claim paperwork printed off. I sent off a couple last week but got distracted.

Also I want to finish a bit of decorating, but with a whole house to do its never ending.

    Have a good day all.

Oh dear another month has passed and no updates to keep me on track.

I have been feeling a bit down recently so have had to give myself a huge kick up the bum in the last few days. Lots of things getting on top of me and me sitting stewing in it. I know root veggies are good for stews but it became ridiculous.

Anyway a few plans have been made.......

I will finish any decorating started before starting anymore. I will also remove crayons from the little one as he has realised you can draw in walls and doors too......cheeky little monster.:wall::happyhear

I have started to plan the big veggie plot in the garden for the next growing season and started to clear the weeds. Go me - whoop whoop.

I have started my Christmas shopping but have had my creative juices jump started after being on other threads. Thanks Candycupcake.

    Decluttering - ongoing.

I'm going to stick to that little list now as I do tend to go over the top and put myself off doing anything.

Only positive thoughts from now on.:A

    Morning all,

Not much free time today so I need to cram as much into the next couple of hours as possible. I'm going to do the regular cleaning up the focus on one area to tidy.

I tend to write huge long lists of things to do and get annoyed when I fail to achieve everything. So baby steps from now on.

I will return to the diary to list what I have achieved.

As promised to myself and to help defeat the procrastination I'm going to list my achievements for the morning so far then get on with more work.

    So far

    Changed the baby
Washed up, dried and put away the crocks
    Washing x 2
    Hung wet washing to dry
    Ironed dry washing
    Cleared desk and polished it
    Polished fireplace
Recycled a bunch of old magazines
    Made curry for tea
Been to the shops and building society to bank baby's money (he will have money when he grows up and not be destroyed by successive useless governments and politicians). Sorry rant over

For me that's not too bad a list as I get distracted very easily.

Back later to list more later before heading out to baby's club.

Greetings from North Wales and it's a lovely day.

We're going home tomorrow one day early but there is a reason for that and it will give me an extra day to get the ball rolling on a few ideas I have. I do tend to do lots of thinking on holiday and always want to get home to get on with things.

Anyway it's d day tomorrow for B4rclays to get back to me regarding the PPI claim I put in and it's also my birthday so hopefully I will have a lovely present from them. I have been thinking what to do with the money if i get awarded it back but keep getting myself in a tizzy. I do know I will pay back the family member the money they lent me a while back which would feel great. I may even buy some glass panels to replace my broken ones for the greenhouse so I can start planning next years crops.

I would also like to save a small amount of it, then put the rest towards a lump sum off the DMP. But the I keep thinking about the state of the house a a couple of new carpets would help, but I guess I could keep saving for these and the rest of the big jobs which need doing.

I guess I will have to wait to get home tomorrow and see if I have had a letter from them. If its good news perhaps sit down and work out the best way to use the money. One thing I know it's not getting wasted on anything.

    Have a good day.

It's been lovely, we think autumn is the nicest time of year to visit.

Hubby wants to move here eventually as he attended college in Harlech for two years, and both of us being from the Midlands we spent a lot of our childhood holidays here.

I do tend to get rose tinted specs dreaming of old farmhouses/cottages and being more self sufficient. Plus it would be a lovely place for my little baby to grow up in, he loves being outdoors.

Grumble alert, apologies to any poor person who stumbles upon it.

So D day for B4rclays arrived and went and no letter from them re PPI. I arrived back home only to have my little bit of hope dashed. Then to top it off the little one has broke my only pair of glasses and being high index lenses they cost a fortune to replace. I could cry I really could.

Something always goes wrong every birthday. One year my car was written all over with black marker pen then the windscreen was broke by something flying off a lorry a couple of hours later. I think I'm not going to bother again.

Going to slope off, feel sorry for myself for a while and have a cry.

Will be back with a better attitude later.
