Hope you like the haircut, and nice to hear the baby is doing well.

Aw thanks boultdj. He's a real munchkin.
A good old haircut is a great way to make yourself feel a bit better :D

So if you bend over and we can all give you a kick, when would you like to be able to start your business again?

I was going to say if I bend over for a kick up the bum I would blot out the sun, but there is no sun.:rotfl:Now, I want to start now. I tend to be a little impatient;) I AM GOING TO DO IT;)

I've been nosing on your diary itsadogslife. I find it really helpful to hear others stories. I need to get to the end.

    Morning MSE folks

Well the hair is gone. It's not the best haircut I have ever had and it was drastic but I'm sure I will get used to it.

A busy day today, shopping, visiting friends and while the grape is sleeping some tidying and sorting. I need to get the dining room sorted for christmas day.

I have joined a couple more challenges on the site just to try and help me motivate myself more to get these horrible debts paid off.

I recently signed up for mystery shopping. I used to be a retail manager so have no issues with the reports on standards etc, but the confidence issue is stopping me from taking the first step. Plus they keep sending assignments for Subw4y but the smell of the place makes me feel sick.:rotfl: Not a good start.:rotfl:

Must get on now and sign off MSE before another day is over.

...you realise the only person you can rely on is yourself. A bit of a jolt to the start of the morning, but I'm not going to rant on here as I don't think it's appropriate plus I want to try and keep on a positive. There has been too many tears recently.

Good morning all and thanks Chevalier and Cuppycake for the comments. It's nice to know that others are out there. To be honest I tought I may have been waffling to myself on my diary but have had some lovely comments from some lovely people.:D

I have a few things to do this morning. The main one being dealing with a letter about a missing payment for one of my creditors on my DMP. I have checked my account and a payment has been made but a couple of my creditors have sold the debts on recently so I have a feeling it's all gone wrong.

On top of that I have to wait for a call back regarding the collection of a snooker table which was delivered yesterday and when it was opened it was smashed up on the end. I really hate waiting around for things so I imagine I will be tearing my hair out in a couple of hours. I suppose I will have to spend the day sorting out the house for Christmas while I'm under house arrest. It's not what I need this close to the big day.

I really need to write my Christmas cards - oh no. I wish I could talk someone else into doing it.:)

I also need to sort my fabvric stash and see what I have. I want to make some stuff and get my F0lksy site up and running.

    Have a good day everyone.

Creditor problem sorted. It's amazing really after years of burying my head how things can be dealt with and how much better I feel afterwards. If silly old me had realised this years ago....................

Morning all and hope you had a good christmas.

Mine was quiet and the babies face was a picture. Poor little lamb has a really bad cold now though so I haven't been on MSE much. Hopefully I will be back to some serious debt busting in the next few days when he is a little better.

    Bye for now.

  • One of my ideas was while on mat leave to get back into working for myself but time has whizzed by and as a first time mum I didn't realise what chaos was about to hit. I'm happy for any long term mums to have a good laugh at my stupidity.;) Life is starting to settle a little more now so the plan is still festering away except for one little problem.........Debt has completely destroyed all my confidence in myself. All my guts have gone. Has this happened to anyone else?

If its any consolation I was going to do so many things when I was on mat leave but most days it was an achievement if we left the house (PND). Went back full time after 6 months (now part time), no one tells you about the guilt you feel though, even though DD loved nursery from the start. Also have the problem I want to buy her everything to make up for the guilt of not being a SAHM, but I can't afford to be a SAHM (or all the things I buy her!):(

I haven't gone back to work yet but already feel guilty. I have had LBM loads of times but I think realising my absolutely carp past with money is now affecting being able to spend time with my baby has really made it all hit home. Hindsight is a great thing I suppose. I almost wish I could go back 15 years knowing all life would turn out the same way except I would make better money choices along the way.

    Happy new year.

I have neglected my diary for the past few weeks. Poorly baby, colds and Christmas has just got in the way. I have been struggling this month. It was my own fault, I got confused over the date my road tax ran out and have had to ebay like mad to try to avoid those nasty bank charges. I'm really annoyed with myself as I started the year feeling positive about paying off debt and now have lost a little of that umph. That said both my items on ebay at the moment have watchers so fingers crossed.

I also sold most of my cds to mus1c m4gpie. This was a real punch in the guts. All that money spent and so little back but I needed what I could get. It did make me think though. It's amazing how at the time thse little purchases seem so important, yet in the long term they are so damaging and unimportant.

I have also downloaded a budget speadsheet (free of course):money: and intend to fill it in accurately and honestly. It will be interesting in seeing if what I budget really corresponds to what is spent.

Off to have a look around for more stuff to sell now and through out/ charity shop what is not good enough.

    Have a good day.:)
