Going to ask a silly question ......what is hump day?:o
Hi Rising, welcome to my ramblings; hope I don't bore you too much.
Not a silly question but Hump Day means it's the middle of the week and we are on our way to the weekend0 -
Yippeeee.....it's Thursday! which means that the weekend is fast approaching.
Managed a NSD yesterday, so I am now up to the grand total of 6 :j:T
Today won't be a NSD though, I need to nip to Tesco's in the next town to get the kids some Christmas presents...that Tesco's is bigger than our local one. I would go to the even bigger one at Gatwick but I don't have time before work.
Have checked online banking and have updated my spreadsheet; so far we are on target, I haven't transferred over DH's expenses from the savings yet as I really want us to keep going as we are and only transfer them at the end of the month before he gets paid, when it will be needed.
I have decided any money left over this month will be put towards the credit card.
I need to go through the stuff I have sold and put them in to carrier bags ready for tomorrow. I have one lady coming about 10am for one lot of stuff and another coming after 4.30pm for the rest.
Going to see if DH will take DS to his climbing club on Saturday so that I can upload the kids clothes on to FB.
I need to pay ebay invoice as well today and get rid of that..its £6.00 so not too bad.
Plan today:
[STRIKE]School run[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Tesco's[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Work[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Visit friend and his wife[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]School run[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort dinner out[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Take DD to Rainbows[/STRIKE]
Off to get showered and sorted, have a good day everyone x0 -
:j:j:j IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!:j:j:j
Always something worth dancing for.
So busy, busy day today, school run to be done and bits and pieces to be picked up that I've sold as well as going to work.
I heard from my boss yesterday, the woman I work with has been signed off sick again for another 3 weeks! So I'm stuck with this other lady for a while longer...she's nice but so ditsy and she's supposed to be in charge of a kitchen at the school she works at!
Checked online banking and updated my spreadsheet.
DH left some change on the side in the kitchen, so 7p has been squirrelled away in the demi-john.
Right off to get sorted and get the stuff bagged up for collection.
Have a good day x0 -

Quick update time whilst I wait for my first buyer to come.
Have done some errands but have to go to the next town to get DH's NicAssit gum as the Boots local to us haven't got the one DH needs.
I've been thinking really hard about the shrapnel that I'm saving over this next year and what I should really do with it. So my thinking is this....
20p's - once a month I will count them and pay them on to the budget card towards the car taxes any odds left get put back in the pot towards the next month.
£2 coins - again once a month I will count them but this time I will pay them off the credit card bill, any odds left get put back in to the pot towards the next month.
50p's - Yes I save them tooThese will get counted once a month and paid into the current account for general use.
All the other shrapnel will carry on going in to the demi-john towards Chrstmas 2013.
I'm part of the Tesco Christmas Clubcard scheme and generally we save up to about £100 in vouchers from them, I want to improve on this next year so I think I will try and top it up over the year or buy savings stamps or even both....but I think I need to think about this one as I don't want to intentionally skint us out IYSWIM?
I'm eager to get rid of this year already, I want to get started properly.
ETA: Buyer has been and another £10 added to the pot0 -
Happy Saturday
Had quite a productive evening last night, sold two more items on FB, so another £10 made. One lady is coming this morning and another lady is coming on Monday morning
DH has taken DS to his climbing club, DD is playing with her Lego and I'm going to be shredding and sorting out the paperwork that's hanging about....such excitement for me! but it has been hanging around for months and even though DH has been whinging about it...I've not done anything about it depsite saying I would
Hoping today will be a NSD but we'll see how it goes.
We got the gas and electricity bill through yesterday so £142 paid...even less money in the account now, but not giving up just yet!
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Evening, just a quick update.
Finally uploaded the kids clothes on FB and sold some within 10 minscollected and money potted.
I'm on a roll (I hope) and need to decide what I'm going to do with the money once I've collected it all.0 -
Well done, it's the small steps that counts.0

Happy Sunday
Had a fab day yesterday and sold quite a bit of the kids clothes, woke up this morning to find that some more have gone...another £9 due to come. I have been putting the notes in one pot and the odds in various pots....Going to hunt down some more bits to sell.
I know what I should do with the money but its not what I want to do with the money...I should pay it off the credit card debt but I want to use it for the kids christmas presents....dilemma!
Checked online banking, nothing much has changed probably because it's Sunday, so haven't updated my spreadsheet.
Should be a NSD today, we are off shopping but the kids are spending their money that they have accumulated.
Added 20p to my hippo pot, 50p to my other pot and 2x10p to my demi-john.
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Good morning world,
Tired, sleepy and it definitely feels like a Monday
Have checked online banking and updated my spreadsheet.
Got two ladies coming this morning to collect some clothes that I've sold...I need to get them bagged up before the school run.
Had a bit of a crap day yesterday, DD has the worst damp room in the house and she also has the smallest room; I discovered yesterday that her walls were black with mould behind her bed so I had to move it to bleach them, she has a high bed and its not easy to move and to make matters worse, I lost one of the diamonds out of my engagement ring
So I'm hoping that today will be a better day.0
