Well what can I say…I’m back with a brand new diary and the hope that ‘life’ won’t get in the way too much this time and I’ll be able to make some headway on the debt and not lose this one like I did the last one.
The current debt has risen astronomically…last count was £10K and is probably more than that; it has been a hard year this year but I’m determined not to let this hamper next years efforts.
So what has been going on? Life wise, I started a Teaching Assistant course in June and am nearly at the end of it so hopefully I will be qualified come the New Year. I also started and passed my Numeracy Level 1 with Learn Direct, I am working on Level 2 now. As a result of these courses, it left me unprepared for Christmas and I’ve found out now that I’m rushing about…not good!
So what to do next? Start making plans for next year, look for a better paid job than what I am on now and most importantly get prepared for Christmas 2012.
I have rejoined the Sealed Pot Challenge and the £2 Savers Club too, this should help.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone,
It’s a bit windy out there this morning isn’t it? Still at least we haven’t got snow yet, those that do I hope you manage to wrap up warm.
Money wise today, I have to go in to work early as the school I work at is having their Christmas Dinner (130+) and that’s just the Infants side. I’ve done quite a bit of overtime this past week due to the lady I work with being off sick, it all helps for the start of next year so I’m not complaining.
A lot of rushing about to be done before I head to work though, I need to put £10 worth of petrol in the car and then drop the kids off at school in the library then head off to the post office to post my mum’s Christmas present and then go to work; after work I need to get DH some NicAssist gum from Boots.
DH gets paid tomorrow…yay! And I will then be able to get a proper total on what we owe. We have shopping being delivered tomorrow to as well, this includes the Christmas food and I just need to buy the meat then, we need to buy other bits but not until nearer the time.
Right got lots to do so I’d better get a move on. Have a good day everyone.0 -
So it’s Thursday and Christmas is coming thick and fast and so is the end of term and the weather is turning cold, thankfully we’ve not got any snow yet but some has been quoted as coming tomorrow.
Ok crunch time…I have totalled up how much the debt has risen over the past few months, it’s not pretty and is now £11,265.08, it’s been a hard year but that is not really a good excuse is it? I feel bad and I feel like I’ve lost control of it, but can’t dwell on it and can’t wallow in it and must charge through it!!
So I need to change it; I need to get my bum in gear and take control again and get it down like it was at the beginning of the year, my aim for the next coming months is to try and reduce ‘it’ by at least £3000, more if I’m able to, that will put it at a reasonable figure of £8265.08…I think I might pay off the 8p too.
I have made a start on things and have put some change in the demi-john, DD asked me why and I told her that I am aiming to try and fill it or part fill it by the end of next year.
I have started to save 20p’s and once I have a reasonable amount I aim to take them to the Post Office and put them on the budget card towards the car taxes.
I have a good feeling about next year and will try and get more organised.0 -

Morning,
Very tired today, DH went out last night with site and rang me at 1.30 stuck in London, one contact lense lost and therefore unable to see properly and wanting help to get back home.
He finally managed to get back home about 3am...Tired is an understatement. I'm supposed to be out with my old colleagues tonight, just hope I survive.
Anyway, I've noticed that we have one teabag left in the house....not a good thing, I love my tea and need my tea so off to Tesco's I go before I nip to see my friends with their Christmas present.
On the upside I managed to wrap a lot of the family presents last night once the kids were asleep and I managed to figure out who I've still got to buy for.
Have a good day everyone....yyyaaawwwnnnn!!!!0 -

You sound like a busy day ahead, hope you have a good day0 -
Afternoon,
Well my 20p pot is building up nicely, I have got my first £2 coin in the pot and I have put some change in my demi-john so hopefully won't need to dive in to those too soon.
I ended up not seeing my friend and his wife as it decided to snow! Not happy! I walked the kids to school and then walked to work got freezing cold and wet due to snow only for it to stop and thaw out when it was time to come home. Thankfully my colleague gave me a lift so that saved me a looonnnggg walk.
I manged to get some teabags so am hapy again.
DH is not too bright today, he drank far too much last night and is very poorly as a result, he managed to get to site to collect his bits and pieces and I ended up collecting him from the station. I'm supposed to be out tonight myself but doubt that'll happen.
Nothing much else to report.0 -
Morning everyone,
I went out last night and met up with my old colleagues, I was driving so it was a small spend night, I spent a grand total of £5.98; this was on a burger and a drink.
I have put 12p in the demi-john and 40p in the 20p pot.
My plan today is to get the rest of the Christmas presents and stocking gifts then I can concentrate on the rest of Christmas and the kids.
I need to ring Learn Direct today to sort out my progress review, this should have been done yesterday but my tutor left a message on my mobile phone which I only got last night, you’d have thought she’d have rung the home phone first? Oh well never mind.
Have a good day and I will report back later if I get chance. x0 -
Good morning.
Did the snow stick yesterday? We have it too and Cam loves it until he had played in about 30 mins then cried it was too cold :rotfl:
Have a nice day sorting Xmas presents, Ill be glad when it's all done lol x0
