Quick update: DH was offered 0% balance transfer to Barclaycard, so we've transferred the balance from Virgin...glad to get rid of them! So that'll save us a bit.
Had to pay gas/electric bill so that's £94 gone, have paid in the cheque so that's less money next month
Oh well, that's life I guess. It's going to be a tough month next month with Christmas looming too.0 -
Morning
It's Friday which is always a good thing. Half term has flown by this week.
DH has gone in to work this morning, he was supposed to be off but the site he's based on has called him in for a meeting, he's not impressed but he reckons it'll earn him brownie points and he'll take a half day another time.
Dentist today for mehopefully it'll be the last one for 6 months.
Checked the online banking, last DD has come out, even less money left and that doesn't include the dentist today. I need to nip to Tesco's too.
The Tesco's christmas vouchers came yesterday with a few money off vouchers too so I'm going to use the money off ones as a lot of my shopping list is for them.
Aim next week is four NSD's and plenty of walking to save petrol.
I've also come to the conclusion that I drink too much alcohol during the week; I've been waking up feeling groggy and headachy this past week so I need to get that sorted and cut it down...it's not going to happen overnight but gradually I think I'll feel better and sleep better.
Right off to get motivated, need breakfast and another cup of coffee before we leave the house. Will update later xx0 -
Hope the dentist went okay x
Have a nice weekend x0 -
Feeling like a complete failure! No correction, I am a complete failure!
The money that was left in the account suddenly disappeared and we were left with 43p, so had to transfer some money out of the savings we have to cover us. We haven't got a lot of savings and I'm fed up of covering us because we've run out of money  I need to wait until the account catches up to see where that money went.
I hate my life at the moment. No money. No sleep. In debt and lots of worry to go with it.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I sold my old bike for £50 so that's going to help keep us afloat for a while not long though so we need to be careful with it.
Back to work today, kids are going to my friends as they have an inset day. Have explained to the kids that we're walking as much as possible this week and from now on.
No more dentist until next year, thankfully.
Haven't heard about a second interview so doesn't look like I got it. Need to keep looking and applying.
I have to go to Tesco's today, I need a top up shop so can still have my NSD today as it's a planned spend. Need to keep to my list but don't feel like that.0 -
I'm sure we have the same life, sending you big hugs.
Look on the bright side at least you had some money in savings, i don't even have that:(.0 -
Really feeling on a downer and so not happy; DH had a little go at me this morning, he wants me to ring the company and check that everything is ok with my application, so that I'm not pinning my hopes on 'that' job and can look elsewhere....I am looking else where! but will ring them..don't know what good it'll do.
He then went into a tirade about how everything is rosy in my little world and that I think everything is ok (I don't!) He is of the opinion that we'll lose the house (we won't as we'll get rid of everything else first!) and that I need to get a full time job...I told him I know I do and sent him off to work. !!!!!! things can't get any worse this week can it?!?0 -
Hi, sorry to hear your feeling down and falling out with OH, we are the same at the minute and I know its the stres of money and also christmas around the corner.
Could you tell OH a little white lie and say you rang and they can't tell you anything until closing date of getting applications in or something similar.
Take care.0 -
So Monday and Tuesday turned out to be rather carp to say the least but DH and I are still on speaking terms so that's something I guess and yes PWPS it is all down to money or rather the lack of it.
Took DS's mountain bike round to the bike shop yesterday, the bottom bracket has gone (whatever that is) so needs new ballbearings and some greasing to fix it; it should be ready today and is only a cheap repair, even if it needs the whole part replacing.
I did ring the company and spoke to the MD, he said that he was sorry for not contacting me sooner and that he has all sorts of plans running round his head at the moment and that he'll contact me towards the end of the week or will write to me...I read that as he's not overly interested in me and therefore I need to carry on looking.
The lady I work with has been signed off work again! Thankfully I currently have another lady working with me from another school but that's only for this week I think, so heaven only knows what my area manager will come up with once she's back at her school...I'll be on my own again for the next two weeks I guess
Manged two NSD's this week and aiming for more...so that helps.
Cleaning job today, I really don't want to as I'm getting fed up of it but I need to as it'll help towards keeping us afloat until payday next week...just need to keep in mind that it's only until I get a decent job.
Need to get some paracetamol and ibuprofen today as DH found this morning that we haven't got any and he needed some...whoops!
I've got clean the microwave at some point today too as it's rather rank...I hate doing it but when DH notices that it's sticky...that's not a good sign lol
Off to get motivated, have a good day everyone xx0 -
Morning, hope you feel better soon

Hi HI,
I'm fine ta, just counting down the days to DH's payday.
Cleaning job done, they gave me £20 this weekso I used £5 of that and some change that I already had in my purse and did Tesco's but I still forgot the bleach!! Sigh! So I'll have to get some on my way home from work.
DH got a letter through from the HMRC advising us about losing CB...Great!
Hey ho, off to work I go...Laters! x0
