I can't go under it, I can't go over it....I'll have to go through it

  • I'm ok, just annoyed. In a way he's right, I am lazy and the house is full of junk that I can't be arsed to get rid of; but it's the picking up on the tiny things that hurt...such as the dust on top of the tall unit or on top of the door frames.

    Sorry I'm rambling.
  • Give him a duster and say if it bothers you that much you do it:rotfl:.

Could you ebay a few bits, at least then you will make a few quid.
  • DH and I are now speaking to each other, I explained that the house is too much for me to sort on my own and that I need help as I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with it. The housework is fine its the rest of it.

DH helped me to sort most of the housework since he came home last night.

Selling stuff is an option however we have 'too much' junk that most of it needs throwing etc before I can start to try and declutter on a selling scale.

Trying to convince DH to let me sell the kids Christening gifts, they'll never use them, they're currently in a plastic box on top of a wardrobe in DS's room. DH wants to put them in the loft!

Plan for today, try and declutter our bedroom and thoroughly hoover it.

Oh and things went from bad to worse yesterday, I came out of work and got a flat tyre. I've never changed a tyre before. Rang DH and he talked me through how to set the jack up; I was still clueless and was about to ring DH to find out where I place the jack when two lovely chaps came along and changed it for me :D Mainly because I was in the way of where they needed to go :rotfl:

So £68 spent on a new tyre....so not a NSD yesterday.

Today is a NSD, I do not have to go anywhere other than work (pah!)

Onwards and upwards! Off to get showered and motivated.

Have a good day everyone xx
  • Wooo hooo it's Sunday :) DH has gone up to the flying club, the instructor he's having a check flight with doesn't charge DH so all it will cost is tach time that DH has accrued working up there :D

Have checked the £2 and 20p savers club threads and added some new people on to the lists.

Got DS to sort through his clothes and take out what he no longer wants...I'm going to add these to the other pile of DD's and sort through them and ebay or FB them. I need to go through their quilt covers too and I need to go through all my clothes and get rid of some too.

Decluttered our bedroom and dusted, polished and hoovered it. It looks so much better now and I need to keep it that way.

DH and I hung up some pictures that we took down years ago to decorate...it took us years to decorate and even longer to plaster the hallway :o and I finally was able to get my hippo ornaments out...I love my collection but they've been stuck in a drawer for years...pity we don't have any more room or I'd buy more.

Have been picking up bits for Christmas 2013 and am surprised that I have nearly bought for everyone (except immediate family) I still have a few to sort for this year too but feeling confident.

I am actually looking forward to next year now, it's going to be hard work but I think if I can get a full time job, it will help.

All in all a good day so far.

    Good morning diary,

Had a very productive day yesterday, I photographed and posted a lot of stuff on to FB and was surprised by how much has sold...not quite sure but I think I'm up to £30 so far :j I haven't uploaded the photo's of the kids clothes yet, that's one to be done this week.

Have made a start on the £2 coins and have added a few to the terramundi pot and have added some to the 20p pot as well as other change added to the demi-john.

Demi-john to be counted at the end of November and put towards Christmas. Other coins will also be counted and put towards the debt.

Today will be a NSD...Well sort of...I am going to pick a scarf up for Christmas for MIL but the money I'm using will come from the money I've already made, so I class that as NSD because I'm not using money we have in the account :D

I'm tempted to wander over to the Old Style Board and see what the flyladies are up to, I think I could possibly use their lovely lists to get back in to sorting the house out? Anyway, todays list looks like this:

    [STRIKE]School run[/STRIKE] - Done
[STRIKE]Deep clean the bathroom so DH can re-mastic round the bath[/STRIKE] - Done, I stink of bleach now!
    [STRIKE]Work - Please don't make me go!!!![/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]Pick up scarf[/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]School run[/STRIKE] - Done

I just remembered there's a cake sale going on at the school today, might have to use £1 out of the money accrued today.

Have a good day everyone, will update later. x

ETA: I forgot I need to get MIL a card and a present today! Won't be a NSD after all :( - Done

Not a NSD after all that, but got MiL's birthday present and that is the only thing I have bought today :)

Bathroom is clean and tidy and the tiles are scrubbed free of mould so DH can re-mastic around the bath.

Went to work, which in a way was good as I had my boss with me and she's asked me to come in early on the day they are doing the school Christmas Dinner....2.5 hours overtime in December :)

Dinner is sorted and chilling in the fridge ready for cooking...spicy meatballs and spaghetti.

DH is feeling very low about the money situation and I'm not sure how to make him feel easier about things....hopefully he will see that things are getting better and relax a bit.

    Good morning,

Had a fairly good nights sleep last night...so feeling good today, woke up with an aching back though so I blame it on the weather changing...painkillers taken so they should kick in soon.

Received some money yesterday for some of the stuff I sold, I've a lady coming today to collect some more and two ladies coming on Friday to collect some more bits. At the moment I've just been putting it in pots, that way if the money gets used its not a major hassle but if it gets saved that's good too.

Did a bit of the flylady post yesterday and plan to do some more today, I'm not bothered if I complete all of it or not as long as it looks reasonable here; I can build it up as I go along.

DH needs some more NicAssist gum today, I have built up enough Boots points that I can use them to pay for it :D

My day today looks like this:

    [STRIKE]School run[/STRIKE] - Done
    Flylady (change our bed mainly)
    [STRIKE]Boots[/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]Send off MiL's card[/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]Work...if I must![/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]Tesco's for chicken and wine[/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]Clean kitchen[/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]School run[/STRIKE] - Done
[STRIKE]Pick up DS from football club[/STRIKE] - Done
    [STRIKE]Sort dinner[/STRIKE] - Done

That should keep me busy today x
  • Yay! It's Wednesday....Happy Hump Day!!!

Had a very productive day yesterday, the house is beginning to take shape although it does need more TLC to clear the carp.

Got a fairly busy day today, cleaning job after the school run so that's another £18.

Have checked the online banking and all is ok there so far :)

Should be a NSD today, have managed to clock up 5 so far; would really like to get above my target but its looking doubful.

DH has told me about when he's out with work next month, that's good as that gives me chance to wrap presents and drink wine in peace :D

DH and I were discussing whether to buy each other presents and he's said he doesn't want me to buy him anything...I said I won't (I didn't say anything about the kids though :rotfl:) DH will get something whether he wants it or not.

    Anyway on to today:

Pick up friends son and take to school with mine
    Cleaning job
    Work
    Sort dinner
    Flyladying

Should keep me going for a while.
  • You sound really upbeat today, hope you have a good day.
  • Hi Purplemum just spied your diary so thought I'd pop in and say "hi" (will have a read through with a cuppa shortly:))
