  •:mad: to losing the diamond.

Hope today is a better day for you.
  • Ohhhhhh Purple just had to give you a big (and slightly dodgy looking) :grouphug: after reading of your day yesterday.

:( to the stone in the engagement ring. Do you know when you def last had it? Don't hoover it's bound to turn up.

Re DDs bedroom - is your house yours or rented? If the latter, get onto the L/lord, council, HA etc and say it needs sorted!

    Couple of suggestions meantime:

    - Leave her bedroom window open a bit (even tho' it's cold) during the day - even an hour should help.
    - Anyway of reshuffling the furniture so the bed isn't near the damp wall - a) it's not good health wise and b) it needs ventilation round it
    - Get some pots and put salt in, this should hopefully help absorb some of the damp

I have absolutely no idea when I lost it, I've taken the ring off so I don't lose any more :(

This is our house unfortunately, when I mentioned it to DH he said something about getting the DPC sorted.

    - Leave her bedroom window open a bit (even tho' it's cold) during the day - even an hour should help. - Done :)
    - Anyway of reshuffling the furniture so the bed isn't near the damp wall - a) it's not good health wise and b) it needs ventilation round it - Nope, she's got a box room and there is literally no room
    - Get some pots and put salt in, this should hopefully help absorb some of the damp - Thanks for the tip, have done this
  • Sorry to hear you lost your Diamond :(:(:(:(.

On the damp in your DD bedroom, is there any way to re-arrange her room to get her bed on an internal wall otherwise try to leave a decent gap betwwen the bed and the wall to let airflow. We used to have problems like that and if the air can circulate it does'nt get so bad. Ditto the leaving the window open a crack in her room for a few hours.

Hope today is bringing more smiles for you. well done with the Ebay sales. xx
  • Hi lurvlyloz, fab username! Welcome to my diary, yes it has been one hell of a year (one of many) so determined to make next year work.

Hope I don't bore you too much with my ramblings :) x

  • Thanks everyone, nice to know so many people care....felt really annoyed yesterday and fed up. I think with the bedroom, my ring and the car tyres, I've had my share of bad luck.

Any how, one lot of FB sales collected with another lady coming after school...more money in the pot :p we used some of the money yesterday for the kids pocket money which is good as its not come out of the current account.

DD found some pyjama's in her drawers that don't fit her and proudly handed them over to me to sell and DH mentioned that he has some bits hanging about too (I think DH has been impressed by what I've made so far :))

So tired today too, I think the weather changing hasn't helped so I'm going to start and take my vitamins again to give me a boost.
  • I'm pretty sure that nothing else can go wrong! DH had a phone call from Barclaycard Fraud Department last night, it appears that DS had made four consecutive purchases on it via iTunes for some game he was playing on DH's iPad.

All but two of the purchases were authorised before it got spotted. The two that got declined were in the region of £70  having delved a bit further, it seems that DS had made two other purchases last week for said game...have to wait now until the credit card catches up to see what the damage is.

DS has been told umpteen times in the past not to click yes when anything comes up and to always ask first...this is not the first time he's done this so he cannot be blamed for not knowing.

I did wonder why the CC had crept up a bit but figured DH had been buying.

On the upside, my buyer came last night and money has been put in the respective pots...another lady is coming tomorrow after school to pick something else up :)

Pants .... not knowing a huge amount how these things work :o (ie absolutely nothing :rotfl:) but how did DHs c/card details get onto the site & can they not be removed so it can't happen again?

If it's a site where it's liked to an account, then DS still shouldn't be able to access them (all sites where I've got my c/card details stored, I do have to log-in before they'll come up)?
