I can't go under it, I can't go over it....I'll have to go through it

  • It's been a few days since I wrote on here; I've been doing some thinking since my bad start to the week.

Chances are we won't be losing the CB (at the moment) so that's a relief.

Haven't done any more NSD's this week but I have only bought what we have needed, so we have still got some money left in the account.

DH got his notification through about this months expenses, so they should be in on Monday...they're early for a change :)

DH is working up at the flying club today, so my plan is to get the majority of the housework done so that I have a fairly easy day tomorrow.

Still haven't heard anything from the MD of the company despite him promising to contact me, so he's obviously not that interested in me, so I need to look elsewhere now.

I need to look carefully at the finances for the next few months and see if they can be improved in any way. I want to get the CC paid off as quickly as possible and have some savings at the end of next year. It has been agreed that if DH gets a bonus that will be put towards it too.

    Next year will be better!

Off to get sorted, will update later once I've sorted the finances out.
  • Finances have been looked at...not a good sign but not really a bad sign, a few tweaks needed. I'm trying to total up what other expenses will come up e.g MOT's, car taxes, car insurances etc then splitting them up through the 12 months to try and even it out.

I have sort of written this year off with regards to the debt but will still make the necessary adjustments so that January will not hit too hard.

Although the balance transfer has been done, no doubt there will be some odd bits to go on to the Virgin card so I'll need to factor this in this month too.

Not a NSD today but am aiming for a few more next week than this week...positive thinking and all that!
  • Count down to Thursday....DH's payday :) His expenses came in so these have been transferred over to the savings account until his wage goes in...might see if I can keep it in there for a lot longer.

Need to pick something up this morning, I bought for Christmas 2013. Am going to be prepared! So a low spend day £3 to be exact lol.

Was up with DD last night, she was complaining of tummy ache; 12.30 - 2am she was awake, so tired mummy today. DD is fine though, going to give her some more Calpol and tell her to drink more water during the day and she should be fine.

Aiming to have a fair few NSD's this week, despite DH getting paid during it.
  • Brief update - yes I know you've heard that one off me before.

No call from the school regarding DD today, she came out of school very happy and bouncy so it must have been a 'need a wee badly' type of tummy ache during the night.

Still no news or letter from the MD of the company...I'm not ringing him again but I am a bit miffed that he didn't live up to his promise of letting me know

I was a good girly today and only spent the £3 :) present has been squirrelled away for Christmas next year and I have only a few left to get :) I do however need to get a shift on and get this years finished.

I was sooo tempted to go to Tesco's on the way home but resisted :T

Lunches done for the kids tomorrow, just need to figure out what to do tonight for dinner.

    Laters xx
  • Hi Purple, sorry to hear you have been messed around jobwise, doesn't sound a good person to work for if he can't even show basic manners.

Really need to get my christmas shopping sorted, have made a list of people to but for and have bought a few bits, really not organised this year.
  • Good morning world,

Spotted that DH had decluttered a bottle last night, he had the remains of the Bailey's that's been hanging about since January; he's very helpful :rotfl:

I just need to attack all the bottles of gin that my mum gave me...last count was 12 bottles...she got given lots over the year last year and gave them to me as I'm more likely to drink it

CB has gone in :) so that's given us some breathing space until Thursday...Hopefully I'll be able to transfer some of it back to the savings once DH gets paid.

NSD today need to get some housework done...going to walk with the kids to school so that should give me some energy and motivation...I think I'll put War of the Worlds on again (that's my cleaning music lol)

DS has football club after school today so no walking home, but we'll see.

Right off to get motivated...have a good day x
  • Morning,

Well my NSD didn't happen...saw money in the account and my brain fizzed and well we had a curry last night :o

Naughty girl I know! See I told you I was useless. I'm not going to hit my target at this rate.

Determined to make a head start on next year, I have joined the £2 Savers Club and the 20p Savers Club and pledged to save £200 on each, these will in theory go towards debt and/or Christmas next year.

Cleaning today...so don't want to but need to and it is extra money.

Need to take DH's glasses to the opticians as the lens fell out when he put them on this morning; thankfully he's got contacts he wears during the day so he's not totally blind lol.

Not much else to report money wise.
  • It's late. I'm !!!!ed. Sooo annoyed with DH, I can't speak.
  • Well I was going to delete the above post but thought stuff it.

DH went off on one again last night, apparently I'm lazy and do nothing around the house. It started off all because he said about cleaning the windows and I said that's not housework that's house maintenance...housework to me is washing, washing up, hoovering, changing beds, cleaning the bathroom etc....queue the red mist.

Apparently I'm doing nothing to find a job and that we will loose the house.

Oh and dinner was carp too.

So now we're not on speaking terms....at least today will be quiet :o

On to today, I've the shopping being delivered before I go to work and housework to do...see if he notices that its been done.

Need to buy a new kitchen bin at some point too because he broke it

He has at least been paid so I've updated the spreadsheet.
  • Sorry to hear abouut the fall out with OH, hope your ok.
