Best way to deal with Train Fare Evasion or Assault?

Their is today the report from last night of the train guard who made two teenagers get off the train because they had no tickets . When he turned to get back on the train they stabbed him and he is now in hospital. BBC News.

i feel the big man was jsut trying to help out the conductor who probably shouldnt have asked the public to get involved

but the little scroat was jsut showing off thinking noone can touch me and he was wrong

i hope he doesnt succeed in sueing anyone though otherwise wot message does it send out

Big Man offered to get involved and the Guard accepted. Should the Guard have accepted? Maybe not, but the little scroat was taking the !!!! and the Guard was like 900 years old!
