I think the gobby little !!!!! deserved what he got, it is about time people stood up to gobby kids who think they are hard because the police will just slap their wrist and give them a hug.

Well done to all of them to be honest. I reckon he'll be buying his ticket in the future.

Big fish ate little fish, it's nature...

To be honest I think the ned deserved everything he got.

Yes, the employe was waiting, maybe police were on their way - the big lad just sped things up a little, job done...

It's just a shame fewer people don't act like this. Good reason for that though, that little !!!!!! could have had a knife or worse.

While the big guy was doing a good service, not only the young man was causing an issue he was theiving from the railway company. He got what he diserved unfortunately we live in a world where everything is taped and put on youtube and his actions are proberly wrong in the eyes of do gooders and possibly the law.

In my opinion he used the correct force needed and stopped the thug trying to get back on the train. There seemed to be some kind of scuffle and the big guy used reasonalbe force to push him off onto the platform. The thug could well have had a knife so the force is reasonable.

Is it right we live in a society were idiots can just get away with anything they want. Waste of time calling the police they would take over 1 hour to get there, plus if you call the new 101 number you might not get through plus if you call the 0845 number by mobile it will cost over £6 to be on hold for 20 minutes, I know that by expericance.
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

The Scotrail employee can't control the actions of the general public.

Be even funnier if it does turn out he had a ticket like he said he had, and sues the train company for thousands.
He probably has a good case against the conductor for inciting the other passenger to beat him up, so it looks like being a very profitable day when he gets the compensation in.
  • Don't know if the faredodger is the same guy or not (he does look familiar!), but a couple of weeks ago I was on a crosscountry train from Newcastle - Edinburgh (direct no stops) - and there was exactly the same situation.

The lad was given ample opportunity to pay £44 or provide the guard with I.D proving his name and address. Of course, the lad had neither. About 30 mins before we hit Edinburgh the guard called the BTP giving them ample opportunity to meet the train on arrival. He stated where the offender was, what he was wearing, the fact that he was slightly intoxicated, etc and when we got to Edinburgh, as expected no police in sight!!

Didn't hang around to see the result as I had a connection to catch, but it just goes to show that you can follow company procedures, etc all day long but like everything else if the police dont turn up then theres very little you can do!!

    Yes it did.

    The lad deserved it.

Unfortunately there is an attitude in the UK where some teenagers, particularly if they are with their friends, think they can be as rude, obnoxious and obstructive as they like to people particularly if they preceive that person as weaker than them.

Getting thrown of the train now by a large stranger will be better than in a years time being taken to court for fare evasion.

    And it does happen.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

He could have bought a ticket from thetrainline (wasting money on their booking fees) or one of those hungry homeless people that hang around stations selling used tickets for food (never drugs or alcohol).
