He could have bought a ticket from thetrainline (wasting money on their booking fees) or one of those hungry homeless people that hang around stations selling used tickets for food (never drugs nor alcohol).

maybe the lad did deserve being escorted from the train but th big lad threw him to the ground three times the third time he slammed him in to the pavement and you can hear the crack quite loud its disgusting behaviour by a thug

yes the guy who hadnt paid for a ticket needed punishing but it not down to other train passengers to dish out violence

  • The big man is my new superhero.....if there were more ned slayers out there the country would be in better shape.

I can't believe the amount of people willing to back up neddy behaviour like this. Theft, verbally abusive language and disrespect are all acceptable to you?!
  • I'll be honest, I'd of one te same. Not like he chucked him off straight away. And I oil don't want to be waiting around, what if that kid caused people to miss their connections etc? Kids nowadays have no discipline as it is, and some think the world owes them a favour!

  • Didn't see him bing smashed to the ground. Looked to me liked they were stopping him getting back on the train? Obviously he size helped, but remember he was using bad language when there was kids present as well. Not on.
  • And the people who were on the train and saw this whole episode and witnessed it first hand........applauded. And so would I if I was there!

Well done big man for using minimum force to lawfully eject a train fare dodger with attitude. *claps hands*

Although it's easy to formulate a plan after the event, it may have been a better idea to first take the little twerp's bag / stupid hat and chuck it onto the platform in the hope that he would remove himself from the train to retrieve it.

How long would that have taken?
How late would that have made a train full of passengers (and trains further down the line) while waiting for the policeman to turn up, only for him to eventually (in all probability) end up using as much, or more, force to remove the bas.., err, young man anyway?

As for 'smashed to the ground' - pur-lease.

Although given the sorry state of the affairs at the moment it wouldn't surprise me if I end up reading about a compensation claim for 'emotional trauma' in the not too distant future...
