I hate the way this country is becoming like the states. I hope he gets fined the max for not having a ticket with him.0

'Victim': Student Sam Main shows the injuries he apparently sustained after being thrown off the train by a fellow passenger
Yes - nice and fresh a day later.
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Based on his Facebook status he didn't appear to be too upset at the time, but once the news got hold of the story it all changed. Basking in the limelight rather than embarrassed at his behaviour. Whether there was a mix up with the tickets or not, a foul mouthed row with the conductor isn't acceptable.
One occasion where I lost my season ticket I was unable to get it replaced as the ticket office was closed at the station. However, rather than expecting to travel without a ticket and being abusive when challenged by the conductor, I politely explained the situation to him and fortunately he let me off the fare. If he hadn't have done I would have paid without fuss.
So well done the big man

Well done big man, if it was my son shouting and swearing in front of kids like that I'd give him a clip around the other ear as well0

So the premise is it's ok to hit someone for mouthing off and swearing.
What age group can we hit.
Obviously 19 year olds.
Girls as well as blokes?
The last one I saw behaving like this was actually a pensioner in our local library.
Was he fair game to throw out, as the staff were asking him to leave?
No one did, but we hung around in case he did get violent, then to be honest, he would have got a slap or two, pensioner or not.0 -
He didn't hit him, although granted slamming him face first into the platform might have been a bit OTT.So the premise is it's ok to hit someone for mouthing off and swearing.
If he was abusing the staff and wouldn't leave when repeatedly asked, yes.The last one I saw behaving like this was actually a pensioner in our local library.

Ok, chucking the pensioner out of the door, over the step and down onto the pavement outside for bad languag is ok then?
Stopping him going back in for his stick is ok too?0 -

Ok, chucking the pensioner out of the door, over the step and down onto the pavement outside
You said "throw out", not "chucking the pensioner out of the door, over the step and down onto the pavement outside".
I said "abusive" - not just using bad languagefor bad languag is ok then?
So you're spouting rubbish and creating straw man arguements. Rather than making a point, you're making yourself look foolish.
Little point in ejecting him if you let him straight back in. Especially if you have already given him his stick back.Stopping him going back in for his stick is ok too?0 -
Whether he bought the correct ticket or not, he refused to show it, and was very abusive and verbally aggressive. He also thought it was a laugh on Facebook after the event. He's nothing more but a petty chav (or 'ned' in Scotland) and is clearly seen committing at least one Railway byelaw offence, if not two or three.Be even funnier if it does turn out he had a ticket like he said he had, and sues the train company for thousands.0
