  • OK, ironing mountain one conquered, but lots more washing to go....

Twizzle of washing then off again...

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Get well vibes to all feeling unwell today (I have an earache and sore throat starting myself so do sympathise).

It was very Christmasy going the carol concert in the sleet.

Going to do a mad dash of the flying in a minute to get all I can done before lunchtime. I think I'll do a list.

  • Morning everyone. Not done as much flying as I'd hoped so far this week. Two medical appointments in two days seems to have wiped me out. Feel a bit more with it today so for starters:

Do something I've been putting off - learn to cut an paste so that I can post my list next week. (Not using a pc so ctrl +c doesn't work.)

    HHI

Change beds - so for at least one day I've done some flying from the list.

Hugs to all those with colds and winter lurgie - sending virtual hot toddies to help with the cures.

Congratulations to Seafarer's Wife on safe arrival of new son - a lovely Christmas delivery:)

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all (Just)

Been up since 5.30 as I couldn't sleep. Made sausage and tomato pie for dinner then some biscuits. Dusted and polished living room and computer desk (in hallway) and vacuumed right through then gave kitchen floor a good wash. Cleaned the windows in the living room, hallway and one of the kitchen ones. I have to stand on a chair to do the one over the sink and I don't feel like that today.

Glad Woody is on the mend.

I have finished sorting the bedding and towels and the airing cupboard is now very tidy. I have also been emptying my vacuum packed stuff, sorting, putting in better piles, chucked what I don't need and just need to re-vacuum them now.
That means that the main bathroom and 2 spare rooms are completely sorted, all we need to do is get some bedside cabinets/tables for 1 of the rooms.
Our room is sorted but we want to change some of the furniture ahich will then be rehomed in the spare bedrooms. I just need to work through the last of the spare rooms now.
We had some furniture delivered the other day so am going to have a go at putting that together after lunch, once we get some files that will be another 4 boxes empty.
Need to work out what other storage we need to be able to empty and organise the last spare room. I have 3 months to get them organised before operation conservatory and garden begin.

Quick update, so that I can see what's left. Not having a very good day today, I seem to be a tad spaced-out. Not sure if its the new meds, fallout from the stress of seeing the GP (and one I didn't know, at that), or a combination of the two.

Wednesday – any downstairs area which is left especially if it’s a room of doom
    Extras:
Polish your silver/brassThis will need Mr LW's assistance, methinks, so probably a weekend job

    Thursday – Bathroom and Landing
    Level 3

Clean the shower screen or wash the curtain
Wipe window ledges and dusty areas

    Extras:
Use vinegar to descale around taps and plugs
WIP – taps have vinegar-soaked cloths wrapped round them as I type!:D
Degunk the drains with soda crystals and hot water
Mr LW tells me he did them all when he did the (blocked) kitchen one a couple of weeks ago, so really not needed.;)
    Clean the mirrors

Friday/Weekend – Bedrooms – any or all your choose
    Level 1
    Change all the beds
Our bed will be changed tomorrow morning, as per usual, when MrLW is here to help.:o:A
    Hoover the bedrooms
    Done by Mr LW:A
    Level 2
    Dust all fluffy surfaces
    Done
Kids to get those rooms totally tidy
    N/A
    Half Hour Ironing
It's all done for now:T Mr LW will be doing it again Sunday - I did the last lot and made my shoulder a lot worse, so he's taking the job back off me.:A
    Level 3
    Clean any window your choose
Finish any outstanding jobs on your lists
Sort some socks, get rid of any threadbare ones
N/A – I don't have any, and Mr LW puts any threadbare ones straight into the textile-recycling bag as they "surface". (I have him trained!):D

More Christmas Challenges for those who want them

    Friday
It's a wrap flyladies. If it's done great, if it's not make a start if possible getting the kid's ones done as lots will be finishing school today.

If you've done all your wrapping do anything christmasy you like, maybe go for a walk and enjoy the lights.
N/A as we don't do presents; I can't go for a walk on my own, as I feel stupid trundling out in the buggy alone (and it's stashed in its shed at present and I don't think I can get it out unaided just now) so will defer this til tomorrow, when dear little Sidney will be around to take for walkies.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

LW - I don't know how you manage to get so much done! Bet you're looking forward to having Sidney to stay :D

Today I have managed to empty the bins, go to the farm shop for veg, bubble wrap the spare room window, find somewhere to put the boxes from the Christmas decorations and chuck some chopped up veg in the SC. Energy levels are low... Probably due to yesterday's early start. I have picked some greenery from the garden (and done some guerilla pruning of roses in passing) so I can make something to hang from the front door. The back of the garden is a jungle, so I really need to spend some time on it towards the end of winter. Oh... And I've booked an ironing pickup for Tuesday and an appointment at the surgery for Wednesday. It looks better written down... Mostly I feel I'm constantly clearing up after myself, even though I try to not make any mess!
