I have decanted the Sloe Gin, strained through a muslin. Mum asked if I had tasted it. She doesn't want to know if it tastes ok - she wants to know it's NOT POISONOUS because she doesn't *quite* believe I know what sloes are and where they grow because she doesn't know what they are!
And I have taken a picture of the bottles, which now need labelling!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I have:
been to the sorting office,
done some studying
and ironing,
been to work,
had some lunch,
cleaned the kitchen,
friend has been and picked up the goldfish....too big for our little tank now
And polished downstairs.
Going to put the hoover round now and then get on with some more studying before Mum brings DD home (she is watching the show today, I have seen it twice and the second one (yesterday) was 2 and a half hours long and that long sitting on those small chairs is more than enough !!!)0 -
I've been pottering all day and just looked at my list and can honestly say I can't cross anything off it! Lol, just not motivated.
I've got half an hour before DS comes home so i'm going to do another couple of months of this years accounts as that means I can just sit at the computer by a radiator. Bliss!
So, not very effective but I am flying xx0 -

Afternoon all.
I did the bathroom/toilet this morning, the landing got done with the bedrooms yesterday. Also some washing done and draped round.
Went to vet with the cat, she was supposed to go tomorrow but the forecast looks a bit iffy so I went today, and the good news is that her ulcer has gone again. We have to keep on with the ointments as it seems she has a problem with tear production but it's all good news. Back next Friday for it to be rechecked before Christmas.
Made a sponge with lemon curd in the middle and a fruit cake.

DS is disgusted. he wanted some 'undershorts' for football so off we went to JJB
turns out they now do student discount. Despite SHOWING them the student concerned they wouldn't give me the discount without ID so I left them there and will get them another time...he offered to give me the money himself :rotfl:

Congratulations seafarers_wife on the birth of Benjamin! And seafarer too!
I have been without power for almost two days and couldn't wait to find out your exciting news.
Thanks for all the congrats for me too. I have a huge smile.
Flying completely went out the window with no power or heating. We had the wood burner lit and virtually lived in the living room. If anyone watches Look North you would have seen the amazing United Utility guys working in blizzard conditions through the night to get our power back on. The poles carrying the power lines either snapped or keeled over with the weight of the ice and snow.
After last year with no water I thought this year was going to be easybusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
